Any one got 121 stars yet? I have 120, but Don't really feel like going for that 121. So much time to invest.

Is it bad that I've got over 200?

A new question. Is it possible to unlock the purple comets without getting 105 stars? Do they unlock when you "beat" Bowser or does it require getting 105 stars?

When you beat Bowser, you unlock them no matter how many stars you have.

Good, I'm on my second run through and was planning on getting to Bowser quickly to open up the purple comet levels and get some of the nastier levels done as early as possible... making the quest for 242 downright leisurely at the end...

I think its only 241, you only get 121 on Luigi's side of the game. So 120+121=241

I'm limited to the hours of 10 p.m. to midnight for gaming (more if I don't care about sleeping) so I'm a bit slow, and it still entertains me greatly.

I think its only 241, you only get 121 on Luigi's side of the game. So 120+121=241

I would swear I've seen youtube vids of people getting it on both, but since I'm 111-112 stars away from it I can't be sure.

It's 242 Stars total with Luigi and Mario

It's 121 with both Luigi(after you beat the Grand Finale Galaxy you can go back and get star 121 with Mario in the Grand Finale Galaxy.) And then pesto! The games errr.. 202% done?!?! If that is the correct way to say it? I dunno

This Game Trailers video shows it plus what happens and some cool glitches AND a "homing buttstomp" it's pretty cool check it out if your bored with Galaxy or just want to see everything without getting 242 stars with both mario bros.

Ok, I'm 18 stars from the 242 (19 if you count the second run through at the end of the universe to unlock the final stage(s)).

None of the levels I have left are particularly challenging, (by my design). I've got only one level in the Engine room to complete (Seaside Purple Coins) and then I'm done with the Garden and Engine room levels, including their Hungry Lumas. I've also eliminated all of the timed levels, and all Cosmic races. I have the trial galaxies left but they didn't bother me too much the first time through.

At any rate I have a friend who has all 242 stars and can't seem to find the death count. Is there something else you need to do to get it to show up?

Edit: Finally finished last night, died 508 times with Mario, and 325 with Luigi (I bet I can tell you which levels did Mario in that much more). So I guess I've answered my own questions. Now to practice SSBB some more.
