Who are you directing this to? also could you expound upon your questionHow long does it take to make up your mind?
My experience in the Boston, MA (USA) stores is that they will often make exceptions after fourteen days, sometimes long after. When I’ve had a reasonable reason for the change (phone too big or too small, memory too small) they’ve made exceptions. It helps to ask nicely, too, because they’re under no obligation to do so.
It’s at the discretion of the manager. I’ve done exchanges past 14 days. Once I changed from AT&T to Verizon and Verizon won’t accept the unlocked AT&T IMEI #. Second time was several years ago when the product red phone was released.
After the 14 days you not liking the size or color still isn’t a “reasonable” reason. That’s what the 14 day period is for to begin with.
What motivated you to want to get the silver over your space gray after almost a monthI was able to get my local store to let me swap a launch day Space Gray for a Silver today, even though I was 10 days outside of my return period. It probably helped that today was the first day the store had gotten stock in over a week, so I couldn’t have changed colors unless I was willing to go without a phone. I was polite when making the request and made it clear I understood if they couldn’t allow the swap since I was out of the return period. When he agreed to allow the swap, the manager did mention the fact I had bought a sim free model outright initially did make it easier for them to accommodate it.
YMMV but it is possible. Best advice is to be calm and polite when asking.
I didn’t see the silver in person until I went to trade in my and my wife’s old iPhones about 10 days after we got our 11 Pros. I was really taken with it though and wanted to switch. My store didn’t get any stock (that I saw on Apple’s website anyway) until yesterday. I figured it couldn’t hurt to ask so I reserved a silver for pickup and they were nice enough to let me swap. What motivated you to want to get the silver over your space gray after almost a month

Anyone trying to exchange a device after 14 days. Seems like people trying to take advantage of Apple's generous return policies.Who are you directing this to? also could you expound upon your question
I see what you’re saying to a degree. There are worse offenders. Better to exchange than to return. I‘m sure Apple accounts for these variables and uses these phones for their replacement/refurb inventories. Last time I looked at the stock their market cap is 1.07 TRILLION. That Fact is just thrown in there for fun and not useful for your comment. For those who want to exchange just want to be completely happy with their 1350$ purchase.Anyone trying to exchange a device after 14 days. I see your new here. Let me clue you in on something, every year these people buy and return device after device after device looking for what they think is a perfect flawless device. If you look hard enough, you'll find a flaw in your device. Some of these people just can't be pleased. I used to be one of them, trust me, the search for the perfect device is fruitless and will leave you unfulfilled. I've learned to just enjoy my device and realized my joy doesn't come from a phone. My phone is a tool that I use daily, it doesn't give me peace and joy. When people realize this they will be much better off (with Apple and life in general).I see what you’re saying to a degree. Yep, I remember that guy.It drives me so insane too with those type of people. There was a thread last year with a guy that exchanged over 16 Xs Max's because he found something wrong with every single one, he literally opened back to back boxes at the Apple Store looking for that perfect one. It's sickening.
And if anyone is trying to exchange their new phones after 14 days just because of the color, they're part of the problem.
I was wondering if there was any possibility of returning the 11 Pro Max Midnight Green for a Silver one, even though I'am passed the 14 days? I just don't like how the midnight green looks, its just too dark, I prefer the Gold or the Silver one.
I exchanged as well. No issues at all. Swapped my MG for the SG and I’m very happy 😊. btw I double checked all the colors while I was there. The silver was cloudy, the gold looked like last years but with the matte of course(I would have liked to see a gold closer to the stainless steel band on that one), and the green in Apple store lighting looked like vomit. Space gray is the Only doable for me. Lol
