Yeah true that. Really struggling now, and the announcement is in 2 days. Probably gonna either have to bite the bullet with Gumtree and sell below what I want or go to one of these recycling sites.

I need to devise a better plan, the last 2 years upgrading have been relatively simple but this year I stand to lose too much money.

As mentioned before, get your request in with the recycling sites now, to lock the price in. If you wait, you'll be offered even lower. You don't have to use it, but it's there if you do decide.

Just phoned up igadgetsrecycled. The website offers up to £432, but drops to £390 if it's not brand new. Apparently £432 is only for brand new, sealed phones. Who on earth is sending them a sealed phone for £270 less than retail? Bonkers.

Envirofone is £405, which isn't much better.

SellSmartForCash is offering £431, and I could maybe sell my charger/sync cable/earpods/box(?) for ~£40.

EDIT - After reading reviews for SellSmart, screw that. Not worth the risk.

Mazuma are offering £400 for 6s plus 64GB and O2 recycle have matched it for me at that price

Both ive used before and got 100% of the money although mazuma do same day no hassle transfer.

Ive got brand new earpods charger and cable which they dont need.

So basically my price is locked for 14 days so after wednesday announcement if the iPhone 7 is water resistant then i think im going to go for it.

Yeah wouldnt trust the £433 from igagdets as trustpilot reviews are bad!!!

My plan is to send on Thursday morning and get paid on Friday!

O2 recycle have matched it for me at that price

Good shout, I didn't realise they price matched. Seems matching Envirofone is my best bet for £405, then try to sell the box/charger/cable/earpods elsewhere.

Or just drop my Gumtree price to £450. Boo.

Music Magpie are offering £440 for the 6S+ 128gb. I sold my wifes 6S 64GB there last month, it had quite a few scuffs and I was expecting the price (£380) to be knocked down, but they didn't - can't fault them

So my 6s is being collected tomorrow by music magpie courier service. Much better than having to go to the post office.

Fingers crossed for the full £380 - there's only a few marks on bottom right corner. Still can't be worse than O2 at £335.

Did you get confirmation of the increased 5% on your email from them ? Seems there's a general issue this year with Envirofone bonus codes. It shows the extra 5% on screen but when you get their confirmation email through, with the order ref, it's just the basic price excluding the 5% that's quoted.

Indeed. I gave them a bell and they said the extra 5% won't get applied until they receive the phone. Not sure why they do this, but the guy assured me the 5% code will work.

I've taken a screenshot anyway with date and whatnot in frame, which I'll send off to them if I have to. Here's a quick proof shot for you guys anyway:
