Ive got a Glossy 15.4'' inch MBP and it's beautiful...the only problem is that the glossy-ness allows for the dust to be more visable. What should i use to clean it? Rubbing alcohol with paper towel or something else?

OMG No! No papertowels and NO rubbing alcohol! After reading your post I decided to do a little "test" on a junk computer I have and it ruins the glossy finish.

There is a product they make that I love called Monster Screen Clean. Most of the electronics stores sell it, its blue and its a gel so when you spray it it wont drip. Theres a microfiber cloth that comes with it and those two in combination I use on my glossy screens. I love it.

If its just dusty use a swiffer.

thank god, i would have killed myself if i had done that...you my friend...are awesome. Would a simple eyeglass tissue work?

I use eyeglass lens cleaner and a microfiber cloth used for cleaning lenses. If it's good for a lens, then it will be OK for the glossy screen.

Hi folks,

I've just ordered my 5th or 6th 17 inch Powerbook/MacBook Pro. I've always picked the matte versions but this time I decided, what the hell, I'll order a glossy. I don't want any opinions on what's better or not but for those who have switched from matte to glossy, what has your experience been? Happy you made the switch or would you switch back to matte the next time around?

My switch was from Comapq to MBP, matte to glossy... no disapointments.

I returned my new 2.4 and paid restocking so that I could order a glossy 2.5, which I am waiting for. I prefer glossy on my personal machines. I work in neutral lighting, so has no affect on me.
