Just received a message from Switcheasy about their new product line - 'Airmask' for iPhone 6 and 6+ - looks interesting!!

Switcheasy Airmask

This is the 'blurb' from their email:

SwitchEasy™ Introduces World’s First Non-Case Solution for iPhone 6
Introducing AirMask™: the world’s first non-case solution for iPhone 6/iPhone 6+. AirMask™ is a revolutionary product in a completely new category of its own. It’s not a case, nor a film, but it functions as a screen guard and a case combined. AirMask™ utilises next-gen precision moulding and cutting manufacturing techniques to bring you a product that is both easy to install and light in weight.

Measuring at 0.35mm in thickness and weighing at an amazing light 10 grams, AirMask™ is a protection solution, which offers the most comprehensive protection at the thinnest and lightest form factor.

AirMask™ is just like a toughened shield that wraps around your phone. The specially formulated polymer shell provides 3H hardness protection that can resist normal day-to-day scratches from keys to coins. It’s unique 3-D adhesive shell design allows users to immediately apply AirMask™ without the hassles of bubbles on screen misalignment. AirMask™ also features a special Anti-Slip texture, which ensures very good grip on your iPhone. The micro texture on AirMask™ enables you to hold the phone nice and snug, yet slips easily in and out of your pocket.

Features:
- 3H toughness. Specially formulated polymer formula achieving 3H hardness
- Thin. Innovative space age manufacturing process combining screen guard and a case in a super thin 0.35mm form factor.
- 360 degree protection. Unique 3D top and bottom shell design offers unique 360 protection to your iPhone.

Just got the email from them. I've always liked SE cases so I think I'm going to try this out

Preordered. Will give it a try.

I always wondered if this would be the best way to cover the front. Doesn't look like glass, though. 3H? 9H would have been nice.

Will see...

Subscribing to thread to see reviews once they are received.

It's a very nice looking case and hope that it's a good one! My 2 concerns would be the case scratching thew phone and the level of anti glare on the screen protector. I still don't get why Apple doesn't do a better job with the glare. How can I tell if I'm taking an amazing photo with the awesome camera while I'm outside in the sun? ;)

I'm intrigued.

Been burned a few times in the past, so I'm gonna hold off on ordering until I see some real cases and hear a few reviews, but this is definitely on the radar.

Looks interesting, but why no black or darker grey. I don't want to turn the face of my phone to gray instead of black... Does this use a loose plastic screen over the glass?

Yeah looks very interesting..... bring on the youtube video reviews.

No mention of drop protection.

I "think" the 3H hardness describes the case in general... no idea about the actual screen protector. 9H on that bit would obviously be great, but if the screen protector was 9H, I'm sure they would have said so.

Looks like a real decent case. I wonder how well it fits though because if it just moves ever so slightly in the case, it will scuff the iPhone. I had a case that did this to my 4S.

I think it's an interesting idea, but I don't love all of the execution. For one thing, why is the front the same color as the back? Part of the distinctive look of the iPhone is its black and white bezels, and it wouldn't have been difficult for SE to reproduce the black and white for the front of the case. It also would have been fun for mixing and matching, get a black front and a gold back, or a white front and a black back, etc.

I'll look for the reviews though to see how these are. I'm always wary of cases that include their own screen protectors, because I find those to be of lower quality than really good standalone screen protectors.

looks interesting but will you be able to remove the case in fix it back again since the 'screen protector' is permanently attached to the case?

I doesn't seem like it, seems like this isn't meant for those people who like to change cases frequently, if it wasn't for that, i'd be ordering this right now

It's an interesting concept, iSkin had something like this for the 5/5s

Interesting sell, but I don't see anything in there about drop protection.

Interesting case. Not a fan of the color options or the shape of the camera cutout. Looks like the camera will still protrude, too. I usually prefer the buttons to be covered, but if they come out with a white or clear case, I may try it.
