Not sure if it will fit with a skin on the back since I do not have one to try it with.

Yes the gap is about a fingernail length. I just finished filming, going to have some dinner and then work on editing it for posting later this evening.
I ordered it within minutes of it going live on the website and got a tracking later that day. As I understand it anyone who ordered clear will have to wait as those are not in stock yet.
Hate to harp on this but the smell is HORRIBLE! Seriously, out of all the cases I have reviewed this one is so strong I had to open my windows to air out my room and I now have a slight headache

Im starting to worry about this case. I ordered the red and clear yesterday but nothing was shipped yet. I guess since they are shipping to Canada they will wait till the clear comes in stock and ship both together.
My clear case has not shipped yet either and they already charged my credit card so I sent them a email asking when it will ship if it's too far out I'm canceling and getting my other choice which is not from switch easy.
Using prior purchases as an example I would usually get order confirmation with shipping tracking from them between 1 to 2 1/2 days after ordering. I think a lot of people bought the cover buddy so maybe they are working through the orders??
BTW, my video is up now on the CoverBuddy if you want to see them up close. I have Red, Blue, Light Grey and Dark Grey. Waiting on Clear - note in my package said they would ship it to me when it is available.

I don't think the gap is a big of a problem though. Also the smell may be annoying but I got the same last year with Yoobao case and it didn't last for long, so.
I just wish they send me the red one and don't hold it till they get the clear ones too.
So what is the best back protection with a smart cover?

If its anything like the iPad 2 version it won't. I had a skin on mine and put the coverbuddy on and it cracked on the corners.
Wow, that would svck. I have mixed feelings about the Incipio Smart Feather and it preventing taking the smart cover off, but at least it seems to work fine with the BestSkinsEver skin I have on the back of my 3rd gen ipad.

Ok that's good. I placed my order a couple of days ago and never heard fm them.
I didn't even get an order number. Just payment confirmation by PayPal.
Is that normal ?
i contacted switcheasy. This is what they said, "The CoverBuddy Ultra Clear have actually arrived today and have all been shipped out!" They sent me my delivery confirmation 2 minutes later.
i just hope i get mine before the weekend so i can start taking my ipad places outside of the home and not having to worry about it getting stratched
