Switcheasy Nude

Initial thoughts:

1. The white case still messes with the flash, its not as bad as other cases but it messes with it still.

2. These cases are SLEEK! Really nice but I don't think they will offer much drop protection.

3. Volume buttons are a little recessed but not a problem to use.

4. The way the case fits around the screen there is no "lip" or protection as expected. BUT the way it fits leaves a slight area that I think will gather dust over time. You would want to take the case off to clean it out from time to time. You will see what I mean in my video.

5. It's a bit of a challenge to take off. I was slightly nervous about scratching my phone but in the end it came off without issue.

6. Screen protecter is decent enough and has a cut out for the camera. I took it off after applying it since I don't plan on using it. No rainbow effects that I could see.

Thats it for now. I'm going to finish editing my video and will be back to post it's link within the hour "hopefully".

When did you place your order and when did you get your shipment notification?
 
Placed my order about 1 hour after they became available on the site.

No I do not have a back skin on my iphone

anxiously awaiting HQ pics of ultra black...

it was shipped yesterday, donno when it will arrive to NYC..probably at the end of next week
 
Ordered yesterday afternoon. 2 of them. Got the shipping confirmation today. Looking forward to getting these. The dock cover is worth it alone for me. I'm still using mine from the Capsule Rebel I bought for my 3G.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Off to check mine.

No, paypal still has my funds on hold. Last I checked the hold lasts for 3-5 days, so hopefully by next Wednesday it should be released. Otherwise I'm ringing them up.
 
flash issues...

This case is everything I want in a case...thin profile...good selection of colors...nice added accessories...

I've always used Switcheasy but the flash problem might hinder me from buying this.

I want the white one for the white phone whenever it is relased (summer 2011??! ahaha) but if it is still ruining wide angle night shots then I can't get this.

Can someone post some images if you have the white one...also is the clear one exempt from this flash problem?
 
Still waiting to hear something from Switcheasy. Ordered 2 days ago and got my paypal confirmation immediately but no confirm or shipping notice from Switcheasy. Sounds like most go theirs within a day...two at the most. I'm sure they are probably swamped with orders but I hope they didn't already go on backorder and there will be a huge delay.

I have a Belkin clear vue for now but I'm looking forward to this one. I think the port protectors (especially the headphone jack) are a good idea. If you look down in the jack you can see way down in the phone. It would be very easy for dust and gunk to get down in there. I think I remember reading this screen cant get dust on it from inside due to way it was made but I still would like to keep all the crap out of there.

I ordered 3 days ago and just finally got a shipping confirmation 5 minutes ago. Switcheasy doesn't seem to have a set way of fulfilling orders. Frustrating but at least it's on the way.

so I take it that the black and clear version doesn't screw with the flash?
 
Refund!

Got my refund today. Paypal sent me an email and they put the money back in my bank account. I'm glad I didn't have to worry about sending it back once it got here. It's a shame it won't work with the IS, because it's a sweet looking case.
I'm gonna wait for the revised Feather now... unless you guys have any other recommendations
 
I ordered one in fuchsia yesterday...hopefully I'll get a shipping confirmation next week! I never got an order confirmation (though it doesn't look like anyone else did either), so I hope I get some sort of email soon.

I ordered two last night and haven't received any order confirmation. I'm hoping I get some email saying my order was received or process or better yet, shipped.
 
I am no stranger to iPhone cases by any means (just check out my YouTube channel) and was really excited to see Switcheasy come out with this case for iPhone 4. I'm a big fan of Switcheasy as I've used just about every product on their website except for some of the newer iPad cases. I really liked the Nude for the 3GS. I even bought the same orange Nude for my iPad to match. The Nude for iPhone 4 is a whole different story.

I'm usually not harsh when it comes to products, but the Nude for iPhone 4 is junk! I opened the Ultra Black and tried it on to find out that the back was already scratched, the edges were sharp at the bottom corners, and overall it just feels very cheap in the hand. I'm tempted to just keep them both for the screen shields (I don't have one installed) or just give them away on my YouTube channel or on Twitter.

Upon opening the pink Nude and letting my wife try it out the colored Nude's seem to not have sharp edges and it also looks better (being that it's a solid color). The screen shields are very good in my opinion. I have tried the SGP Ultra Crystal and these from Switcheasy are way better! No bubbles at all around the camera or home button. So $19.99 + $3 isn't too bad of price considering you get two really nice screen shields and at least have something to protect from scratches on the back of the iPhone 4.

Got mine today - absolutely love them!
The edges are a little sharp and my UltraClear back has small scratches after just a few times of putting it down on our counter. But overall very low profile...
 
Glad to hear most are liking the case overall. I still say despite the how thin the case is, it feels pretty sturdy in hand. That said, until the iPhone 4 comes out in Canada, I can't actually see it in use. It's the kind of case I'm looking for anyway, I usually don't have my phone face down so the lack of a lip isn't a concern at the moment. Scratch wise, it's a bit disappointing to hear it's collecting them right of the box. However, the only clear case I've ever had that has yet to scratch is the Griffin iClear for the 3G/3GS (original version, not the horrid slider version they replaced it with...a piece of junk, btw). I'm sure that has more to do with the back being slightly frosted but it's the best case I've ever used. To this day I keep an eye open for the non-sports band versions of the snap together version.

Still waiting for mine. Hopefully by tomorrow Paypal will release the hold on mine and deposit back into my bank. I just watched the youtube review from metagamers for the iP4 and iPad, and they are so gorgeous. It's unfortunate.

I guess I'll put the money aside for the iBand. Just another few more weeks...
