I just got the case, finally, ordered on the 7th. I have the Ultra Clear.
It's not as cheap a plastic as I thought it would be (in quality not price).
It fits really well.
Taking it off is very difficult, if not impossible, and I get really worried when I have to take it off, that I'll either scratch the iPhone or that I'll break the damn overpriced $20 piece of plastic.
I like SwitchEasy, this is the fourth case I have bought from them, but I should've passed on this one and waited for the Vulcan. While I like the feel of the iPhone 4 with the case (It adds virtually no bulk, makes the phone easier to hold, and eliminates the antenna problem for me).
I really can't figure out what it's for. $20 for what, impact protection? There isn't any. Scratch protection? Mine didn't come scratched out of the box but it scratches very easily, and I'm worried that it'll scratch the back of the iPhone itself, if not by simply being on it then while taking it off. In fact, as has been highlighted by others, the sides of the case does not even reach the very top (I'm not talking about covering the bezel, it doesn't even reach the top of the surface), so you have to be careful how you place it anywhere.
All in all I'm pretty disappointed with the case. Instead of providing some sort of sense of security, no matter how minimal, it makes one worry even more about their phone and the case.
I do like how it feels (somewhat, it's not the best feeling case or anything) and how it looks (it really is ultra clear), but it just is not worth the money in my opinion. I'm most likely going to return it once I get another case, either by Speck or by SwitchEasy if they come out with the Vulcan soon. I'm going to wait for tomorrow's press conference first though.
