I just recently got my Nude & I emailed them for a refund. Anyone have luck in hearing back from them after asking for a refund?

Just got mine in ultra black. As usual, this case suffers from the flash issues. This is now the 4th case I have bought that has issues with the flash camera. So far the Case Mate Barely there was the best, but was affected. How they claim to have tested this on their web site is unreal. There were some minor scratches and it looks like like the side near the volume buttons is about to crack. It's very poor quality and the sides are sharp as well. However, I do LOVE the look of it and will keep it until a case manufacturer actually figures out how to fix the flash issue. I have no idea what Apple did with this flash because other phones do not have this issue with their flash cameras and cases.

See below for pictures without case and with it. I will wait for Apple's free case offer to decide what to do next.

I, too, am one of those who received a SwitchEasy Nude in Ultra Black and had it come with numerous scratches throughout the case and a deformity near the lower volume button. For those asking about refunds, I e-mailed SwitchEasy and they pretty much told me:

"blah blah blah we are prositive we sent you a brand new product, the damage was USPS' fault, and our service is not insured against loss or damage."

Pretty much if you want a refund, you can send it back to them up to 45 days from date of purchase, but you have to pay for return shipping charges, which makes me angry.

Not yet, I e-mailed them last week and have heard nothing. I am very disappointed in this case.

not bad.

i ordered last monday, july 12 and received it today, july 19th.

alot of people say that the edges near the dock connector is sharp, and it is noticeable sharp, especially when installed on the phone. in my case, it wasn't sharp enough to cut my finger or anything, but still, sharp. the corner is rounded though, perhaps they need to just file it down slightly.

i ordered the ultra black for me, and a fuscia for my fiance. the ultra black did, as other people stated, come with minor scratches. you have to hold it up to the light to see it though, so i'm really not that worried about it.

works fine w/ a front face invisible shield, didn't peel. i tried a belkin clear vue case, and it started to pull up the corners of the invisible shield.

i'm pressed for time tonight, but i'll try to take pictures this week.

not a bad case, i kind of wish that the case had a little more coverage on the sides, sort of like the iFrogz Luxe Lean case.

The dock connector dust cover and the headphone jack dust cover don't exactly match the ultrablack case - they are a opague black, versus the semi transparent black of the case.

this will do, until incase comes out w/ a case (hopfefully we can get it free from apple hehe)

These do provide a decent amount of drop protection.

My wife ordered one in white, which she was pretty happy with. Yesterday it took a spill. It was a drop from about 3.5' onto cement, with the impact directed square at the lower left corner. It then did a little skid on its face :)eek:) before coming to a stop.

Zero bezel damage, very minor damage to the phone's black rubber glass surround (1 scratch on the top and 1 on the bottom of the phone), and a tiny little chip in the front glass about the size of the point of a pin. Note that we didn't put the screen protectors on.

The case has a big scratch/divot in that corner, but remained in one piece and didn't crack. For how slim it is, I'm very surprised how well it both protected the phone, and survived the impact itself.

Apple did nothing wrong with the flash it's not Apples responsibility to accommodate the numerous case designs rather all the case manufacturers responsibility to accommodate Apple's flash.

This case isn't what I expected. They advertised it as having zero mold, being of extremely high quality, and durable (Lexan plastic). It's an ok case.

Got my Ultra clear today.....Its pretty nice and yeah there are small scratches but nothing you will notice unless your inspector gadget....Its perfect with no deformities...Now I gotta get one of those iphone 4's

not what i thought either

i too was disappointed with my nude black case. I emailed them that day and told them that I had to file down the bottom corners cause they were sharp and that it doesn't properly flush in the upper left part. They said if I wanted a refund I would have to pay shipping.
I still have it but the headphone slot plug is worthless cause it pops out and the screen protecter is a joke.

I have the ultra clear case, I love the clear color showing the iphone, but it the case has to many scratches already when I haven't damaged it at all. Majorly noticable under sunlight.

Wow my case got super scratched up! So many things wrong with this case. I emailed them for another and hopefully better case and they are actually sending me another one.

Same deal for me. I had to jump through the hoops and mail them pics of the scratches but I just got my email that they delivered another one and they didn't ask for the first one back.
So I gather from this thread that they are very reluctant to send refunds but will ship another case without an exchange. I'll hope the second one is better and save the first one for when the phone gets older and I don't care as much.

One word of caution for people when they get the case:

Do not rub it with a micro fiber cloth to clean it. That will cause tiny scratches that can be seen in the light. I would only use something smooth like a diaper-type cloth (I know the comedians are gonna have a field day with that)

Good luck.

Anyone else having issues with it gripping the phone? I like everything about the case, only problem for me is that the little lips that grip the steel band are so small that they don't grip very well. I can push the bottom sides off very easily with just a little pressure from my finger and it comes right off. Only thing holding it on is the volume keys, mute switch, sleep button. I emailed them for a refund and can send it back, but I hate to since I really like the case. Just sucks the damn thing doesn't stay on very well.

Mine is quite snug. Doesn't move a bit. You must have a bad one.

I might try to get a replacement before returning it. I have a friend who also has the same problem with his. The case is snug as far as the fit goes, the problem is when I push gently on the bottom corners straight back as if trying to take it off the bottom doesn't grip at all and if it weren't for the volume buttons etc. it would come right off. Hopefully a replacement will fix I since other than that it would be my permanent case.

not even a week, and the back is scratched like crazy.

i've had this for 5 days, and the back looks horrible.

i keep the phone in my pocket, w/ nothing else in it, and after a few days, you can see circular scratches all over the back. looks awful.

my fiance has the fuscia case, i'll update that in a week.

i'm glad i'm getting a free case from apple, b/c i'm dumping this case when i get it. stay away from the ultra black.

it ultra sucks.

on the flipside, both my fiance and i do not suffer from the flash bleed that everyone is complaining about, and our edges aren't sharp near the edge connector either. you can even see where the round off the edges on our case.

I got the clear Nude case, and like many others had to file sharp edges down on the bottom of the case. After a week the back is completely full of scratches and looks pretty bad. Fits snugly though. I'll keep using it until I can figure out what else to try. I'm on case #5 now, ugh. Maybe the Otterbox Commuter or Impact. Want something with a little more drop protection I think.

Does anyone else find it very difficult to get their phone out of the case? I feel like it's gonna snap and I have to kind of wiggle it out. Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but there's not a really natural way to do it.

i'm in the same boat.
I got my nude about 2 weeks ago and i'm returning it to get a switcheasy 'color'.
i emailed them this morning, hopefully will hear back from them.
Even if they do respond, I have a bad feeling about this, not sure if this refund process will really happen....oh well, we can only hope.

Got my replacement nude ultraclear yesterday and it's scratched as well. The scratches aren't like big gashes but they do really show against the black back. At least I got 4 headphone and charge port protectors and they work (but you can buy those for 2 bucks online)
Would try for refund but not worth the hassle. Too bad cause the case itself is not bad if you want clear back and side protection.
