I just tried to activate the referral, but it asks for the phone number of my "friend" in order to complete the process...
How do we get around that? Or are you guys supposed to be sending us your phone numbers when you do this?

I think you screwed it up by registering before the referrer sent out the referral. I did the same thing.

Does anyone know how to undo this? If you register before being referred? I tried to send an e-mail to customer service and they basically said I was SOL.

FYI, don't go ask multiple people for a referral. Ask one person and leave it at that. Someone emailed me a referral and then I tried to enter it and it says its already in the system. Don't WASTE our time if you are going to try others.

Like what others said, you should never sign up before you got the referrer's e-mail. You should follow the link on that e-mail once you receive it.

Yes. Sign up for service first and then contact someone here to get your referral. Just make sure you don't sign up for the referral before you sign up for service with AT&T.

Quick question - I can get a FAN discount through my corporate AT&T page. Will this $25 deal require me to register and get a plan through a diff page? I don't want to call and add it manually, and then have them apply the FAN to 'next month' because I did it after the plan was setup.

I'll probably end up needing one of these codes by this evening either way.
