I pay $7.99 for 2 screens in HD and it's "...guaranteed through at least May 9, 2016... I would like to use iTunes since I buy girt cards for 20%. So 2 questions.

1) What is the price through iTunes/:apple:TV (if $7.99 for how long)?

2) Do the iPad/iPhone Apps still work?

2b) How about web/Safari and are all HD (same quality as now)?

Why on earth would you want to "screw Netflix over?"

The less money they get, the less quality shows and movies they'll be able to produce or get the rights to.

I find Netflix to be a great deal. Actually, a particularly great deal when compared to iTunes....

Keep Apple's grubby hands off the already low Netflix fees. :apple:

Poor, starving apple needs the money. Not to mention apple cuts their prices to the bone while netflix charges a premium......wait.

Some people think apple has adopted them or something. They also don't know how business works, netflix will raise prices before they get screwed.

1. $8.99 for 2 screen & HD
2. All iOS apps work.
3. To access it on the web you need to contact Netflix support.

I think the main reason to pay Apple is the login issue. I have HBO Now and Feeln thru Apple and it is very nice. You just "Restore" your purchase (like you do on your in app purchases on your iOS Device). I have 5 Apple TV's and this is a huge difference. The nightmare of logging in for all of my Apps is pretty crazy. Would be nice to store you credentials once and be done with it. But maybe that will never happen unless you subscribe via iTunes.

So has anybody tried to deactivate their account and then reactivate it through iTunes? Does it change your pricing to the newer/more expensive options?

Just wanted to update this thread:

- I went ahead and cancelled my previous Netfix account and started a new one from my iPhone
- I was then given the option to do iTunes billing
- I lost my old $7.99 pricing but I always get my iTunes cards when they're at least 20% off (sometimes even 25%) so I'm paying pretty much the same thing in the end but this way I can use my iTunes Store credit

I do this for HBO and showtime. If you ever want to cancel you can do it through the music app on your IOS device.

Music---profile icon---view my Apple ID---manage subscriptions.

Can you point me to a thread that I can subscribe to to stay on top of the discount iTunes cards offerings?

Cdkeys.com have always got a discount on them. It's better if your in the UK but even their US cards have a couple of bucks off, although it varies by how much.

When doing this, were you able to deactivate and reactivate your Netflix account and keep your queue, history, etc.? Just the price changed to the new, more expensive price, right?

I didn't try that because the Netflix support agent told me that the iTunes billing would work only for new accounts created on an iOS device, otherwise it would default through Netflix. I just started a brand new account.

I agree and the. People wonder why Netflix is raising prices.

Has anyone switched from Netflix billing to iTunes billing for Netflix on the Apple TV? Is that even possible and if so do you lose your Netflix account with all of its history, queue, etc.?

I was just wondering because I'm planning on signing up for Hulu Plus through the Apple TV and figured now would be a good time to switch my Netflix over to iTunes billing as well.
[doublepost=1459392395][/doublepost]iTunes hijacked when we added streaming. We never signed up specifically for iTunes, but whether it was through the process of adding the streaming, we're downloading their app, they to go over billing, and canceled our DVD service, which made us lose all of our queue as well. When we tried to get our DVD service added again, we were told we had to cancel the streaming in order for them to add the DVD service back again. Unfortunately, iTunes doesn't let you cancel it, it only lets you stop the billing, so you have to wait until the end of the billing cycle for it to actually cancel. Apparently they keep the queues in their computer for 10 months, so they say they can get it back, but they can't do anything until I can get Apple to cancel.

Chalk me up for iTunes billing as well. Been doing this for a couple years. Load up on 20% off cards when you find them then just let it auto-renew. Easy 20% off Netflix (and other services) every month.

hmm I'm thinking about doing this as well .. i pay for 4 screens +ultra hd .. the price is the same either way ? thru netflix or iTunes ?? Thinking about doing this for hulu plus as well

Might have to let my Netflix sub run out and re-subscribe through iTunes. Sorry, but 20%+ savings adds up over time.

I'm trying to resubscribe through the iOS app on my iPhone but it only shows the $7.99 or $11.99 plans? The $9.99 app doesn't come up.

I'm the opposite, originally signed up through itunes and then switched to through netflix due to Tim Cook's greediness for the shareholders and anti-white racist statements, then the 16gb iphones, soldering ram, 1gb ram phones, etc etc for premium prices.
