Swype or SwiftKey?

I am using SWYPE and it has been working great... EXCEPT once in a while I get a blank keyboard when using certain programs. Im trying TOUCHPAL now. Not sure it is any better... HOW does one add custom words or does it just learn as you type (I would not want it to learn misspelled words).

UPDATE: don't like TOUCHPAL as you cannot see what you are typing until you hit space or lift up when swyping... So far, SWYPE is the winner..
