I've tried iSwipe for the past few weeks, and I've decided to uninstall it. It's pretty cool, but it's basically an all-or-nothing deal. If you try to type normally when it's installed, it inserts extra letters so often it's maddening.

Also, I found that it can't handle a lot of simple words. Try typing 'don't' or 'doesn't' or 'shouldn't'. Not gonna happen.

Not worth the hassle, in my opinion. I don't even really think it's that much faster than normal typing.

Every negative you mention works flawlessly in the native Android Swype. :(

Grr, I miss it. Sometimes I hate Apple and their "our way or nothing" mentality.

It's cool but a little too buggy and for me I don't want o spend the time getting used to it. I can type far faster with the stock keyboard, so that defeats the whole purpose of swype.

Can anyone find iSwipe on the repo listed anymore? Nothing shows up for me.

use xsellize source to find it. i just found it. not sure what happened with this application. doesn't seem to have made any progress since july

Cydia.xsellize.com

For some reason its taking forever for me to add this link. Thanks so much for finding it. I truly feel like this is the feature that the iPhone is missing and 94% of the reason why I jailbroke.

Haha 94% :p

It took forever for me to add it too, it got stick actually so I pressed cancel and when it got back to the Cydiamsources screen , it was there.

As for iSwipe, it seems pretty crappy unfortunately. Not very accurate at all, and I've used the Android version which I thought was great. It does seem to work better in landscape mode if you can, but portrait isn't very accurate.

QFT I uninstalled it after I couldn't text anything I want to. Then SBSettings turned off my service...it's been a helluva day

Yea, I uninstalled it as well. What really made it bad is that it also messed up regular typing as well, so it had to go.

There are 2 iSwipe in the cydia store.

It is very accurate for me. And it does not mess up regular typing at all.

i also uninstalled iswipe 0.4.0. it was fun to try for a while. not sure how you found 2 iswipes. i just found one

I just installed this and it's taking forever to respring. I think it's actually stuck  it's been on the spinning wheel for a couple minutes now

Edit: held the home and power button till the apple logo came up and let go and now iswipe is working. I'm gonna have to work hard to make sense using it though :p

Took like 10 seconds for me to download and install! Absolutely great, one of the features I loved the most about my SGS2 and so glad to have it on my iPhone now! Jailbreaking is one of the best things I've done in ages! :)
