I had a problem where after the update to iOS 10.0.1, my phone was limited to Edge connectivity. Fortunately, once I rebooted the iPhone 6, I was able to get full LTE speed with no problems. I updated to the T-Mobile 25.2 carrier code two hours ago and things seem to be working okay so far.

They must have fixed it. I'm also getting better signal

Ok, I'm still learning ios intricacies again, but I did not allow any approval for updates, yet my iphone 6+ is already updated to 25.2???

Is it supposed to be that way? Normal ios updates ask for my approval, but this carrier update did not. It just updated on its own.

Carrier updates are entirely different than IOS updates. They're separate and very quick and painless. Usually going to settings>about it will ask if you want to update them. Takes seconds, literally.

Nothing popped up at any point when you went to the About page or at some point point in time?

I went to about. And it didn't even ask me if I wanted to update. It did it by itself
As in you saw the version change while you were there, or it already had that version when you went there?

After reading this thread I went to check my version. I received no indication I had been updated until that point. In fact, I wasn't going to accept any updates from T-Mobile because my phone has been running perfectly since I updated within the first hour of ios10 going live.

After I reviewed the about page, I got a text from T-Mobile telling me that an update was available. That said, they still updated me without my approval. Kinda pissed about that!

That is fine, and I have no problems with updates... My problem lies with T-Mobile doing it without my consent

Was at 25.1 with no service (had wifi so decided not to reboot), went to sleep, it updated overnight automatically and voila 25.2 with cellular back.

So take it up with T-Mobile. It was a nescessay fix and required for all devices to operate on their network therefore you don't have to consent.

Might just be the vagaries of cross-Atlantic calling but I just lost a call mid-conversation and the person couldn't successfully dial back. Its the end of their work day so we just IM'd for a few minutes and left it that. Will be monitoring this.

For clarity: I'm on T-Mob 25.2

Carrier update 25.2 on an iPad Pro running iOS 10, and I pretty much don't get a connection (once in a while a page will build). This started happening with the iOS update, and didn't change even after carrier update 25.2 arrived earlier today. I think I had 25.0 before that.

Strange issue here too in NJ and we are blanketed with lte I haven't seen 3G in years now since I got the carrier update it loses lte all the time and this is on Verizon
