Wonder if T-Mobile might be looking for alternatives to Netflix. Their Magenta plans offer ”Netflix on Us”, which just gives you a super discount on the service ultimately. With all the negative press they’ve been garnering with password sharing and ad tier, plus if you make any changes to your T-Mobile plan, Netflix will instantly bill you for the month directly. It’s the only line, along with my girlfriend’s protection plan, that goes up on my bill.
Nah they’re looking to continue to add value for their customers

We tried ATV+ and found nothing we cared to watch, which is becoming the norm across various platforms.
Maybe not for you but Apple TV+ have some the best award winning programs out there. In my experience as a whole I have found that just a few programs I don't like because not an interest to me but that don't make them bad. Ted Lasso for instant, just not my cup of tea.

Whoopity doo T-Mobile! You offer garbage but not to those of us with grandfathered in plans who have been faithful customers for 12 years. Plus, what the heck would I do with a worthless TV+ subscription when I already have Apple One? Nothing, because Apple doesn't give partial credits. The only thing I get from T-Mobile is data breaches, and apparently there must have recently been another one because I'm suddenly getting 50+ spam calls in the past week, rather than 5 to 10. If the service wasn't reliable and their pricing wasn't without hidden charges I would leave them, but unlike AT&T and Verizon who are chocked full of hidden fees and fake taxes, T-Mobile lets you know exactly what you will be paying.

Didn't say ATV+ was bad or anything similar. Just said we didn't find anything we cared to watch.

Exactly what I was thinking. I haven’t seen anything on if they’re going to still offer Netflix or wean it off

When Netflix recently raised their prices a couple dollars, T-Mobile covered the increase even though in the fine print of the offer it says they users will pay any increases. So I don’t think they are moving away from Netflix if they are going above and beyond to pay people’s bills.

T-Mobile should just offer some choice, such as:

Magenta (2+ lines) or Magenta Max (1 line):
  • Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade
  • Disney+
  • Netflix Basic
Magenta Max (2+ lines):
  • Amazon Prime
  • Apple One Individual
  • Disney Bundle
  • Netflix Standard
  • Google One Standard 200GB and YouTube Premium

Award winning doesn't mean crap. The awards shows are all influenced by money or being culturally/politically correct. I'm not saying apple TV doesn't have a FEW good shows but I wouldn't use the term award winning to further your lobbying of apple TV

You can opted out of the Netflix feature. I don’t remember what the option for it would be in substitution. While Amazon Prime would be a nice add, I highly doubt Amazon would do it. Disney, Paramount+ and Walmart+ could be good offerings. They still do the MLB streaming service yearly too.

I'm interested. Only because of rumors of Apple getting football on there soon. I have this T-Mobile plan, how do I get this?

As an Apple One family plan, this won't work, but I guess can't complain as $30 for a family of Apple IDs to have access is one of the best deals possible.

“Hit shows” 😂
Technically it’s true if they have two. I think Ted Lasso and For All Mankind maybe? Are there others that are actual hits, not just ”I like it”? It’s still incredibly sparse compared to similarly priced competition.

Can you imagine if they offered apple one for solo plans and apple one family for +3 lines (or something) as bundles?
I'd love that but I don't see it happening. Half the services are limited to Apple users so they'd need to offer equivalent services for Android or Windows users.

I'm assuming this will also be true for the Business Unlimited Ultimate plan. Although I still have more than a year of free ATV+ left, so from reading some of the comments, am most likely not eligible for this one)))

Out of curiosity — what makes you hold on to the old plan? I was on 'ONE' for a long time, but recently switched over to a business plan, I get some additional perks, but am paying about the same.

Maybe "The Morning Show & Severance?? (Beyond that, they do have exclusive Peanuts rights, so Charlie Brown Christmas counts as a hit) Their content does get get critical acclaim, so maybe that's what they are leaning on.

In terms of price, Peacock & Paramount + are the only (mainstream) streaming services that come to mind in terms of that $4.99 price point. Both of the sites have hug back catalogs, whereas Apple is mainly original content.

I will say, they are definitely committed to making it a success, they are constantly adding new content & trying to acquire sports rights.

Being deployed overseas, I have loved T-Mobile. They really take care of us over here and their international plan that's included in the magenta max plan is better than any other major carrier to my knowledge.

I don’t want “free” Netflix and I don’t want “free” AppleTV+.

I wish T-Mobile would offer a discount for people who don’t want to bundle. I care mainly about cellular network performance.

This. I pay $30 a month with Mint, get virtually the same level of service, and I can pick and choose which services I add.

They want me to pay $140 for what exactly? No thanks.

I have the Apple One bundle which includes AppleTV+, and Apple told me I couldn't use the free AppleTV+ plan because my plan isn't valid. Because I actually use 5 of the 6 services, I don't think it could be worth it to go a la carte. I wish Apple would handle it like Disney+ and just give me a discount on the Apple One plan.

T-Mobile already had the "Get AppleTV+ on us for one year" promotion that I wasn't able to take advantage of.
yep i’m paying 40$ for apple one 30$ 2tb and +10$ for the extra 2tb total 4tb icloud

Amazon prime video is 5,99€, exactly the same price as ATV+ here and I’m paying the same amount for HBO Max. Both are huge players by comparison.
