what changed your mind? The fact you can get it at T-mobile shouldn't really impact it.. unless i'm missing something
Well it actually depends on if sprint plans to offer some kind of easy pay option or something I was planning on trading in my 6+ for one either way I will most likely get one I need a nice watch that gold sport model with blue band looks beautiful

Seems strange since the current Apple Watch does not have cellular data capabilities.
Sprint sells the Galaxy Gear Watch which doesn't have a cellular chip inside (The Gear Watch S does have a cell chip in it) but point is they sell non-cellular watches.
I think it's a great idea. I like to get all my tech stuff in one trip and not a fan of waiting on UPS/FedEx or dealing with the pick up at the rude UPS/FedEx building. I walk in grab me a new iPhone and Apple Watch walk out with everything I want. Makes it a one stop shop.

They more than likely will offer financing as they do with android smartwatches currently (Moto 360, Samsung Galaxy Gear Watches, etc). I even seen when I was at the Sprint store they will finance Fitbits. (Tmo cx now)

How is taking longer when its selling more than Ipod, Ipad and Iphone in its initial period, depends on an other device and had a very limited number of sales channels and launch countries initially. If anything, it sold fantastically for something launched during late spring. Fall sales will be very high.
I agree, by all accounts it has been selling very well. Maybe I should have bolded "catch on big time". My post was merely countering some perceived negativity towards the AppleWatch. Perhaps some people's expectations were unrealistic. What I am saying is that imho it's sales will leave today's sales in the dust when cellular capability is added some time in the future, and tons of standalone Apps emerge.

Personally I believe in this device category (wearables) 100%, and I have high hopes for it.

I can't wait to see the next round of sales stats for the watch. I suspect they've come to a grinding halt.
Not true. Bought mine and my wife's last week. Love it and am very excited for OS2. I will say this. The watch is WAY more fun f you know other people with it. The sketches and other things you can send are a fave to me.

I wish they would start selling the watch in more countries before expanding sales to stores in the US.

We're still waiting in Norway. If it continues like this they won't sell many watches 1.0 'cause those people that really wanted it got it abroad and the rest is waiting for watch 2.0...

I got one recently and really enjoy it. It comes in handy at work when I need to look at my messages quickly. I also really like the fitness apps.

Yes me too but I get a bonus from my job October 1 (almost forgot about it lol)so I will most likely get the Gold Apple Watch with blue band to match my gold 6s+ with midnight blue leather case

I've seen plenty, because of the job I'm in that would be expected. I'd seen a lot less Iphones in Canada in 2008, than I've seen watches. It's plenty useful already except when using third party apps, which are as clunky as the first Iphone's web apps... And we know how that turned out...

Yes. Tons of games, and the most usable mobile apps are the email client and the web browser. I think it's safe to assume that neither email nor web browsing are use cases for a watch...

Agree. It already looks fat and awkward, and the use case is barely there. People who buy the gen 1 are very silly.

People who have bought the gen 1 are making sure the product will be around long enough for you to enjoy gen 2, 3, 4... We have our uses, not that silly really :)

I think its odd for cellular carriers to sell a watch, I don't get this move.

Seems like a desperate move by apple to increase sales. I can see bestbuy selling apple watches, it fits within their product line up. While a AW can be considered an extension of the iPhone, its not a phone. I think Apple would be better off not trying to push this on to carrier shelves.

It's a watch. It's not a Maserati.

Seems like a weird move to me and I'm surprised Apple is allowing it. Part of the Apple Watch buying experience is looking inside the case, trying different models on and having an Apple employee help you set it up. Selling the watch off the shelves of a T-Mobile strip center location doesn't seem fitting.

I saw an apple watch finally at one of my local best buys. Got to play with it. Not sure how'd I'd really use it at this point. I've only seen 1 person wearing it in the wild (basically to track his steps, etc).

Maybe WatchOS 2 will finally make the watch useful. As it stands, I still don't see the point. Its a toy.

Based on your limited experience in a Best Buy and the fact that you've only seen one person wearing an Apple Watch, you've drawn a conclusion and made the generalization that "it's a toy." Thank you for that pronouncement. I guess I'll have to sell mine now - until I read your post, I didn't realize that the fact that watch has been very useful to me was just an illusion and that I threw away good money on a plaything.

You're right, its a watch, which is why its an odd option. Its like buying leather driving gloves at a maserati dealership (watch them actually sell those :p)

Well it is an accessory that must be paired with an iPhone. From my experiences carriers sell iPhones and iPhone accessories, one stop shopping for people who don't have an Apple Store near them and want to see it in person before buying?

The good thing about not having any concrete sales figures is that everyone can interpret any minor news item as they want:

"Desperate Apple seeks to eke out additional sales of faltering Watch by leaning on carriers to sell it"

"Carriers seeking to jump on Watch bandwagon finally convince Apple to let them sell it alongside other iPhone accessories"

Everyone's happy!

Which presumably won't be the case when the actual figures are revealed...

T-Mobile is all honestly is probably only going to be able to sell the Sport model. I don't see the Watch proper, or the Edition being sold through anything but Apple, Best Buy, and the Luxury retail chains.

On the UP SIDE, this confirms my suspicion...the iPad Pro will be coming to T-Mobile. Because...Apple Watch...

I saw two people wearing it on my subway ride home yesterday. Both people were wearing it on their right arm and with the crown reversed. Whenever I see that set up, I kind of want to ask the person if they are wearing it with reverse crown intentionally or do they not realize that the orientation can be adjusted to allow the crown to be on the outside of the watch on the right arm.

I think they needed to make the shift in strategy because the current strategy sucked.

How have you come to this conclusion? Because it's sold more than 1st gen iPads and iPhones in a similar time frame? Dominated the smartwatch market? Something else?

I really can't believe they priced and positioned it as Jewelry.

Erm... they didn't? One of the models even has the word "Sport" in its title.

However, not everyone of us makes Tim's and Angela's salary... so we aren't buying 1000 dollar watch every year.

Neither do I. So it's a good job they don't cost $1000, and actually start at only $349, pretty average for a well made watch.

Sure they made the Sport version for us common folks,

Ah, so you do accept it exists and do not need a salary like Tim or Angela.

but i'm still not convinced the utility is there.

That's fine, no need to force it. Not every product is going to be for everyone. I have zero need for the Mac Pro, that doesn't mean nobody else does.

I wear my Apple Watch all the time except at formal events and sleep. No longer have to take my phone on my morning run, and it works well with my bluetooth headphones. It works fine as a watch. It makes a nice bed side alarm clock. The fitness side is intriguing, and I confess to being one of those that tries to close all the rings daily - I'm a pretty active and fit person, but this has pushed me even more. Walking directions are awesome (probably my fav underated feature - them little taps on the wrist, no longer have my face glued to a phone screen... dangerous). I'm also on my phone less, I don't need to check it as often - that's certainly a good thing. I could go on, and on.

They definitely have to work on 3rd party apps, hopefully once Watch OS 2 apps are out that will help the situation.

Overall it beats the usefulness of my analogue watch by a country mile and it is cheaper. It's only been out a few months too. Looking forward to where this product goes.

But it's all good, I'm sure Angela has earned her salary.... :p

I'm sure she has targets and objectives just like every other worker. And if she doesn't meet them she'd be out of the door.

Here is what is really happening. The major carriers are basically becoming iPhone sellers and service providers. You watch what happens with iPhone 6s release. Apple will increase to having north of 65% of the U.S. smartphone market by the middle of next year. The major carriers know this and can see it coming. Furthermore, the cheap side of smartphone sales are being done to a great extent by the prepaid and cheap services like Cricket and Boost Mobile. So for the big four carriers with a flagship store, well over half their customers are coming in and buying an Apple product. So they want to carry as many other Apple products as they can.

The stores have tons of room in them. They can drop the number of repetitive android phones to free up some space for the Apple Watches and iPads. Those counters of LG and Motorola phones are not moving any product anyway.
