What a major turn of events!!! POSITIVE TURN!
Just got an email from UPS My Choice saying "you have a package coming tomorrow" from T-mobile Upgrade!
The interesting caveat is i ordered with ground shipping over the phone because the rep told me all early orders would be delivered by 9/19 no matter which shipping option you choose, so i doesn't make sense to pay for a faster shipping option. I was skeptical, but trusted her after several assurances.
My shipping alert says - UPS service: UPS Next Day Air Saver
iPhone 6 16 GB w/EIP
Ground shipping
Ordererd: 9/12 @ 6:10 a.m. EST. Via phone
Backordered: 9/12
Charged full amount: 9/16
Backordered: 9/17
Shipped: 9/17
Expected Delivery Date: 9/18
It also says it requires a signature at delivery, so I'm going to have it held at the UPS hub down the street from my job and pick it up.
I'm pretty pumped!!

I can't wait until next year when we're going through this again for the iPhone 6S and mail innovations returns.
And now I'm spinning from elation that I got a text to depression that it's not the "Friday" text people are getting, which probably means I didn't make the first batch (despite the fact that some of the "Friday" text people ordered after me).
I feel you! same thing is happening to me! I just don't get it! I ordered super early! lol
FYI, even though it says tomorrow, it most likely won't be delivered tomorrow. From previous experiences with iPhone and iPad pre-orders, they're always held until release date. So I would suggest making your plans based on Friday and not Thursday.
I just got the "Friday" text. I am a new customer (actually TMO prepaid converting to postpaid) so I guess they aren't using my phone number as a shipping reference so I can't track by reference. I'm hoping something pops up on my UPS My Choice soon.

Just got the same thing. For someone who ordered it super early on 9/12 and paid for the fastest shipping possible, I'm pretty displeased right now.
When I preorder the iPhone 4 for AT&T. I received it thursday (Day before release) so you never know
Are the people getting text messages already T-Mobile customers? I have not yet received my T-Mobile number and have no way to create my account on their site yet. I highly doubt they are going to send a text to my current Verizon phone number.
