T-Mobile customers can do the Equipment Installment Plan in the Apple Stores as well. We got two 128GB 6plusses and a 64GB iPhone 6 this way.

I've been contemplating on doing this. The T-Mobile stores in my area have mixed/no stock. The only thing was I wanted to trade in my current phone (Nexus 5) to T-Mobile so I can get instant credit towards my new phone right away.

Anyone know what the waiting time is like via T-Mobile online? I want a 64GB Silver iPhone 6... but not at the time they are estimating...

We traded in our old phones at the Apple Store as well. It wasn't as much as doing it through t-mobile, but it was easier than having to wait...

Don't know if anyone posted it yet but T-Mobile customers can now go into Apple Stores and do full upgrades using EIP financing. From the look of stock, most Apple stores now have all models readily available. Also when you get the phone from Apple it is factory unlocked out of the box, even financed. Just confirmed over this past week as we bought a 64GB iPhone 6 and 64GB iPhone 6 Plus both for only $99 down each unlocked.

Tried to do this earlier at the Apple Store. I got denied because I didn't have any line available to upgrade. I just jumped over with a Family plan about 2 weeks ago and I have 2 devices. The Nexus 5 I bought from the Google Play Store and my Sister's iPhone 6 I got through T-Mobile. I called up T-Mobile's customer care and they said I should've have been able to upgrade. They didn't see anything wrong with my credit or any other flags that would've prevented me.

Long story short, I received two iPhones 6 by a mistake. Contacted the shipper, and was told it was their mistake and they would be sending me a return label to send it back.

It's been three weeks.

It's from Asurion, brand new. It should be safe to sell right? All the buyer would have to do is swap out the sim correct?

That's correct.

Hey guys, what are the most current shipping times for the 16GB white 6+. I ordered mine last September and back then the estimated delivery times where 6 to 8 weeks. I'm now looking to buy one for my wife and I hope is no longer taking that long.

Interestingly enough the order status URL listed in the weekly update emails, is different than the URL in the initial order and shipping emails. While the Order Status emails were sent out weekly, the order status was updated daily. I was able to torture myself as the shipping estimates shifted left and right a few days at a time for each phone. Shipping estimates for both phones were listed individually along with the statement that the order would not ship until all items were available. Once I received the shipping notification, that page stopped updating and still contains the last update.
Order status as of 1/5/2015
Order Number: ##########

Item: Apple iPhone 6 Plus - Space Gray - 128GB
Status: Awaiting more shipments from Apple. Expected to ship between 01/08/2015 and 01/13/2015

Item: Apple iPhone 6 - Space Gray - 64GB
Status: Awaiting more shipments from Apple. Expected to ship between 01/09/2015 and 01/14/2015 BUT order will NOT ship until all items are available.
Since the phones were both backordered, I did NOT pay for expedited shipping. UPS listed the package as shipping with a two day delivery promise UPS Ground from Louisville, KY on 01/06/2015 and the package is out for delivery as I type.

Had this same thing happen to me today. It makes no sense whatsoever. I thought with T-Mobile there were no "upgrades"? You are extended a line of credit with EIP and as long as you don't go over that amount, you can buy whatever you want on whatever line you want. Hell, I even tried to buy a phone on a line that doesn't have an EIP attached to it and it still wouldn't work.

I can go to t-mobile.com and get an EIP "upgrade" with no problem. But in the Apple Store, they kept telling me that there was a processing error b/c no line available to upgrade. Ridiculous. Now I'm stuck with no phone, as I sold my 6 and shipped it out right before I went to buy the 6+ today.

Btw, T-Mobile stores are worthless unless you want a 16 GB model. None in my area carry anything larger.

I had the same issue as you. I contacted T-Mobile T-Force and John Legere. I got a response back from John Legere's team by phone. This is what she told me. The whole T-Mobile Apple thing is new. There should have been someone who has been trained for these type of things. They are supposed to call a special hotline Customer Care number designated for Apple so they can process the EIP and upgrade, otherwise the system will not let you upgrade.

That was exactly what happened to me. The Apple Rep got my info up on her iPad from T-Mobile and never called T-Mobile. My upgrade was locked. I ended up getting an iPhone 6 64GB Silver/White yesterday... from my local T-Mobile store.

Ha, I had a similar ending to my story. I had to have a phone today, so I called all my local T-Mobile stores, as well as some within an hour drive. Nobody had a 64 GB Space Gray 6+.

So I called some T-Mobile stores in Nashville and was glad to see that several had them in stock. Made the drive up there, but decided maybe I'd try the Apple Store up there just for ****** and giggles. I encountered the exact same issue but this time the Apple employee went way above and beyond the call of duty. He actually called the 1-800 hotline number, emailed them a picture of the processing error script and was on the phone with T-Mobile for a good 20-25 minutes.

Ultimately, there was nothing that could be done because it's an issue on the backend of T-Mobile, per T-Mobile themselves. They said it has to be sent to a different department to be handled and that it'd be 3-5 business days before the issue was resolved. So I left the Apple store empty-handed again, but I wasn't mad at all because of how the employee handled the situation. He actually tried to fix things, so props to him. T-Mobile needs to get it together though--I wonder how many people have had the same issue and how much business has been lost?

Anyways, I left the Apple Store and went to a TMO store a few miles away and walked out with my 6+ on EIP about 30 minutes later. I really wanted an unlocked model but the hassle wasn't worth it.

It’s not even worth preordering these days if you have to wait. The last two releases I was able to reserve a phone at a store and walk in and get one.
