Meh. Get back to me when they actually have coverage. Until then, they're still chasing the bottom feeders who eat Legere's marketing BS right up

I've had great coverage with tmo around DC and suburbs, actually, most networks invested a lot around there. Except, of course, Sprint.

They have coverage... just not where you go.

Still don't understand what bottom feeders you speak of. Your credibility would be so much higher if you would just avoid such comments.

Competition is great for the consumer so I'm rooting for Sprint and T-mobile to compete hard. Maybe because of these "bottom feeding" companies you will get a lower AT&T bill. Now that would be something.

I have fantastic coverage in Los Angeles, and I am not a bottom feeder.

Then you leave the DC area and it's all EDGE. I'm in NoVA frequently. TMobile barely has service.

Why do AT&T and VZW have any obligation to lower their rates?

Do you see Audi, BMW, Mercedes lowering their prices because Hyundai brought out the budget luxury Genesis and Equus?

They're spending billions upon billions of dollars on LTE deployment, whereas TMobile and Sprint see fit to let their networks rot. There are plenty of people who are content with paying higher prices for quality and reliability.

If they didn't, VZW and AT&T wouldn't have almost 100 million customers a piece. They have been adding more subscribers every quarter, even after the increases. Same can't be said for TMobile or Sprint

Around MD the coverage is great, and in DC too. I've at&t as my main carrier, and a prepaid tmo sim, and at&t does have solid coverage everywhere (even when inside Canada but close to the US border).

Tmo just works good around main cities, when going rural all you get is edge.

Not just rural. Plenty of suburbs outside of cities and along major highways in the Northeast. It's pretty much all EDGE/GPRS up here, except when you get into the Boston area.

Although I'm not using T-Mobile, I'm very happy to see the literal explosion of popularity and usage in my area. They've always offered excellent coverage prior to the dark days of the last two years.

I must say I'm truly shocked at the amount of advertising I'm seeing which in turn has resulted in a lot of sales in this college town. Hopefully this will continue, since nothing is more beneficial to buyers than several competitors to choose from.

No obligation. But eventually they will need to as competition gets stronger. I don't know anyone who doesn't like something for cheaper. You won't be happy if AT&T or VZW lowers their rates?

Now I understand why you say T-Mobile and Sprint customers are "Bottom feeder". You see cell service in the same way as cars. AT&T/VZW is "luxury" and Sprint/T-Mobile is "Budget". I just see them as a cell providers where some works better than the other in different places.

Love my discount:D

Too bad the highest discount they off is 15% which you really can't complain about

I'm making a simple analogy. It's hilarious how some people on here think that some mediocre competition (in the form of TMobile) will make the big boys (AT&T, VZW) change their business and lower their prices.

It's almost exactly the same in the car business. Just because Hyundai makes a budget luxury car doesn't mean Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW have to lower their prices to match the competition. There are always tradeoffs. Better quality versus lower price.

In our case, the tradeoff with TMobile is a non-exsistant HSPA/LTE network, especially when they claim that they have a "nationwide 4G" network.

It's not an exaggeration to call them "bottom feeders." Sprint and TMobile sell their service to any scrub off the street with questionable credit history. The customer service at their corporate stores backs this up. (AT&T and VZW are #1 and #2). Try getting service at AT&T or VZW without a large deposit (if you have bad credit). Not happening.

Not bad at all! They can't go lower or they'd be giving the house away.

I get a 27% off with my AT&T Premier account though.

The fact is is that AT&T and Verizon are worried. Its why they now offer their "special" upgrade plans. They didn't even keep it a secret that they would be watching to see how T-Mobile did with no contract plans.

Crunch the numbers. They make tons of money for every carrier, even TMobile. It's a ripoff for TMobile customers also.

Any sucker who signs up for any of these early upgrade gimmicks deserves to get taken.

What reason do they have to be worried about? The fact that they both have 2x the customer base? The fact that they both have more LTE up than TMobile has HSPA?

You sound angry. I think it's too funny how you go after T-Mobile so much. It's amusing. :D

But they have. Edge/Next is a response to JUMP and AT&T with it's GoPhones. And as someone mentioned above, they even said they are looking at the no subsidy model and see how T-Mobile does. Change might not be within a year or two, but in the long run, I think these companies will make a difference to the two empires.

Exactly right. AT&T would have never changed their Gophone plans to actually make them reasonable if not for Tmobile. Their postpaid subscriber growth is slowing and they actually LOST customers Q1 of this year. Yes they do have over twice as many customers as Tmobile but anyone who thinks AT&T is too big to pay attention to Tmobile is a fool because they're already reacting.

That was then.. this is now, T-mobile is light years better than what they used to be.. I have 4G everywhere and i'm in the PA mountains

Its better if you're in an immediate urban area if you're not you're SOL. I don't have an issue with their speed quality just their horrendous coverage.

It will be interesting from here onward since Nextel had been shut down. AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile have been feasting on fleeing Nextel customers. Sprint only retained 40% of them.

Now the 4 major carriers will fight against each others to get subscribers. Subscribers numbers are at their peak now.

T-Mobile Family Plan now most affordable among the 4 carriers? (4 lines for $...

I've noticed that you really seem to hate T-Mobile, and attack them at every opportunity.

Is there a reason for this? It seems like they personally slighted you in some way.
