I am curious, if you do the deal with Tmobile, is your phone locked to Tmobile until the 24 months lapses or you pay the phone off early?

Just got off the phone with T-Mobile customer support. I was considering upgrading our Magenta plan to the Go5G Next plan because it says you are eligible for yearly phone upgrades. In talking with them, they clarified that the yearly upgrades are only available on lines that the installment agreements are more than 50% paid off. That seems VERY misleading to me. I then asked why the Go5G Next plan is so much more if it doesn't really allow you yearly upgrades and she just kept talking about unlimited data and hotspots, blah blah blah...

We've been with T-Mobile for 13 years and I have upgraded every year to the latest iPhone one way or another and it gets more and more expensive and confusing each year - not to mention all the hassles when the preorders go live - last year was the WORST! I think I'm going to sit this year out, unfortunately. The camera upgrades seem great, but it doesn't feel like it's worth all the extra money per month. Maybe I'll research switching to a different carrier this year and be ready for the 16 next year. Good luck everyone!

When logging in, it tells me to call to see the price of the Go 5g. I’m on magenta max, are the new plans the same or more monthly? I’m trading in an iPhone 11 Pro I think its most cost effective to stay on magenta max and just buy the phone with my Apple Card.

My wife and I have been with T-Mobile for almost 20 years and this scenario is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. Every year, their upgrade program becomes more and more convoluted because of all of the fine print AND the fact that each customer service rep gives you a different story. It's not their fault. They are getting their orders from people who are probably just as confused and frustrated because their instructions are from people who only care about the bottom line.

Add on the fact that they are forcing people to upgrade to more expensive plans and it all sounds like it's not worth it. Besides, by next year, the 15/15+ will be half off anyways since it will be the previous years phone.

Mine went up. I have 3 lines with work perks discount. Was paying $144.50 for Magenta Max, now $157.25 for Go5G Plus.

So just for the hell of it, I called T-Mobile myself and spoke with customer support.

In order to even qualify for the current trade-in promo, I would be REQUIRED to change my plan to their most expensive plan. I currently pay $100 a month for my current plan which I'm grandfathered into (excluding cost of EIP's). This guy told me that I would have to upgrade to their Go5G Plus and pay $285 a month but I would be eligible for $1000 off of the 15.

What a racket and a rip off...

This convo around Go5G and constantly being pushed to newer plans, that's only an issue if you want to upgrade yearly, right? So if I want to stay on essentials on a regular EIP and upgrade in 2 years I can just chill? everything from Magenta and higher looks so expensive for just one person, lol.

If you are on the postpaid plan, the device must be (1) used on T-Mobile's network for 40 days and (2) any remaining balance must be paid in full.

I am looking to move to Tmobile from Total wireless porting 4 lines but don't have trade in phones that are going to qualify so whats the best deal for the 15 or 14. I was trying ot get 14 pros but that deal caps at 2 devices and I need 4. Any help would be appreciated. is it best to just buy used trade in phones for $200 or so each and use those? Seems wasteful.

Apple pre authorization wouldn't let me get the $1000 off with Go5G Next only Go5g Plus so thats cool.. anyway I got these all approved and ready to order tomorrow.

Should i wait and order on Tmobile site since Apple pre authorization isn't honoring the Go5G Next $1000 off promo?

Apple site made me switch down to Go5G Plus in order to get the $1000 trade in credit.

Hi everyone.

Can anyone hazard a guess on how much T-Mo may offer as a trade-in on a 12 Pro/256g? I'm debating on upgrading through t-Mo or Apple for a 14ProMax/256.

Thanks.

Based on my chat, it says that the 12pro Max will be apart of the eligible devices for the $1000 off.

I’m kind of bummed. Best Buy has had very good trade in offers just for t-mo the past 2 years, but it looks like they have pulled out of Best Buy.

I feel so elderly with my old ONE All In promo plan. LOL. But nothing else makes sense for us. I will Jump like I do every year and keep it movin’. I will know when it comes out of my mouth in the morning whether I’m getting the 15 Pro in Natural or White. LOL

Did anyone else when preparing for pre order see the $800 discount disappear when it came to signing the docusign? Now it shows that I have to make a down payment of $365 first? This was for the iPhone pro max trading in a iPhone 13.

Can anyone confirm that their store will open at 8 tomorrow? I have a JOD plan and that has been the easiest way for me to place my order in the last couple years.

I am on a Magenta plan and I am financing the 14 Pro Max through Apple. I am looking over the plans and I see that the new Go5GPlus shows that it is "Upgrade-ready every two years" while it does not show that for the Magenta.
1. Since I financed the 14 Pro MAx from Apple, do I just need to pay it off to Apple before trying to sign up for the 15 Pro Max?
2. What does it actually mean that it is only eligible every two years? What happens if it is financed through T Mobile and I want to do every year?
Thanks!

Hi guys!

Is anyone else getting this error when attempting to get ready for pre-order?

I just switched to T-Mobile today.
