It's called instant gratification that is why we have this madness in the first place. :) I didn't see the photos on the eight pages of posts because the screen is so small on my iPhone. ;)

You are the winner and I am the loser.

Thanks

i suspect that the verizon and sprint devices will function 100% on GSM networks in the US as well. All iPhone 5S's have the same model number.

http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/

just a suspicion of mine, that i thought that i'd share. Waiting on someone to pop an AT&T sim into a vzw device and check for LTE coverage.

Other Note. I have bought the unlocked phone that came out a month later in the past, I have also in the past (other iPhone Launches) bought the full price AT&T phone, and it has also always been unlocked. If you're paying full price for an iPhone, I'm pretty sure it always comes unlocked, even if it isn't overtly stated.

There is no such thing as unlocked but only to international carriers. Either a phone is locked to one carrier or unlocked to ALL. No in between.

verizon iphone 4s was able to be unlocked for international gsm carriers but not for gsm networks stateside.

Just came back from the Apple store.

Apple is not selling unlocked 5ses right now.

We all know from day 1 that Apple is not selling unlocked 5s (there was never a sim-free option). Apple is only selling T-Mobile iPhone 5s which coincidently is unlocked but they don't want to advertise that because they have a supply shortage.

Show me a photo! :D

TRANSCRIPT:

My question is, do you have any unlocked phones?

We do not have the unlocked 5ses.

Did you EVER get any unlocked phones in, for the 5s?

Not for the 5s.

So you never got any unlocked ones?

Right.

"Mobile iPhone 5s which coincidently is unlocked" <----NO!!!

"Unlocked iPhone 5s" <-----YES!!!! :)

So for someone who does not upgrade phones a lot:

Jump or Apple Care for my clumsy wife?

Phone was purchased at T-Mobile if that matters...

*eyeroll* Both posts provide more evidence than you did.

Besides, what's your theory? They're lying?

If they got T-Mobile iPhones, T-Mobile will not unlock iPhone 5 immediately, even if you pay full price. So I suspect they are lying.

Before they even opened, a few Apple reps did say explicitly that they were not selling unlocked iPhones. BUT. I can confirm that T-Mobile SIM cards do work on AT&T phones (if paid in full. Not sure if it works if you're on a contract).

I bought one online. My question is I have an activated micro sim I'm on the t-mobile $30 unlimited data plan so later if I decide to go with AT&T straight Talk it should work just by inserting the sim? Thanks.

To humor you, I suggest you buy a 5c T-Mobile unlock phone from an Apple Store and see for yourself.

We are all liars.

I can end this debate once and for all... If someone would provide a serial number or IMEI of a T-Mobile phone purchased from Apple Retail, I can look it up and see if the activation ticket is Unlocked or Locked to Carrier.

I'm so sorry. :(

I tried to warn people, I really did.

Again: Please do not buy a phone with carrier name attached if you want an unlocked SIM free worldphone. Period.
