With T-Mobile's 2-year hardware plan, do you pay only the tax upfront or...?

They claim it's 0 down. This will be my first phone with them so I'm not sure how it works.

Yes as long as you dont have to put a deposit then its just the tax up front if they say $0 down.

All these planes are going to the UPS HUB in Louisville, KY.

Also if im correct theres an Tmobile Warehouse over there as well, Could be wrong.

Most of the orders already say packed so the phones are already in T-mobile wear house waiting to be handed off to UPS

thanks "Orders are not visible in this tool until 24 – 72 hours after they are placed. Please check back tomorrow to view your order status."

welp hopefully i get that tracking# sent at some point today..

How you tried entering your number (no dashes) on ups as reference number?

On the t-mobile order status mine says

Item:
Apple iPhone 6s Plus - Space Gray - 64GB
Status: Order has been packed for shipping. Expected to ship on 09/24/2015 Tracking# 1...etc

So hopefully by the morning it'll say that it's been shipped or something changes on my tracking :)

Would someone be kind enough and enlighten me on this free memory upgrade promotion? I'm currently on the JOD $19/mo for the iPhone 6 Plus (16GB). Thanks :)

well if you plan to sell your 6s next year and change to 7, then no. LTE 30 is still being deployed and even if you live near a city like I am (NYC), by the time it is widely available, 7 will be released. Also I highly doubt that you can get even $15 more when selling for that single band. most likely no difference in resale value.

But if you plan to keep the 6s for 2-4 years and possibly use AT&T go-phone at one point or another, then yeah. They are the same price, so if one can help it, it's better to get that one. ...having said that, if AT&T keeps screwing you over like it is doing to me right now with this bogus security issue, it's not worth the trouble, I'd say. I am going to try one more time tomorrow at the AT&T store and that's it.
What's the draw about band 30? I know people were pretty excited about band 12 for tmobile since their current lte spectrum is limited and doesn't penetrate walls very well. You mentioned att. Will they be the only
Ones benefitting?

It's a "your mileage may vary" situation. Apparently it's not officially supposed to be a thing but some confusing advertisement has proved beneficial to some people. The ad was more of an internal email document that stated memory upgrades with down payments should be waived, but it was only officially for the pre order weekend. One rep I talked
To said it was through December. Others are saying there is "no such thing". You can try your luck by just mentioning the promo and see if they'll take care of you. The way they did it for me is charged me the deposit and credited my bill account.

Thanks for the quick reply!

Just got tracking number for my second order.. Both phones will be here on Friday!

anyone that ordered the 6s+ could you tell me the weight of your package? I'm trying to figure if they put both my phones in one package as it weighs 2.3 lbs. but my girlfriends 6s weighs 1.1lb

I have 4 separate orders for the 6S + 64GB. Each one weighs 1.3 lbs.

I don't know about you but I can't wait to get Live-Dick pics. lol

oh darn it... wait a minute, A1687 is 6s plus! So this IMEI checking stuff is really not reliable, huh?

Yep, I'd say that's an accurate statement at this point. I don't know where sites like that get their info. I definitely didn't order the plus. My UPS package says it's 1.00 lb so I doubt a plus has been sent by mistake. LOL

OMG - last check before bed. UPS My Choice email: "You have a package coming tomorrow." IS IT POSSIBLE?? Not one tracking update since Monday... suddenly this?

...scroll, scroll...

From Amazon.

What's the difference? A single band? Is there a reason to really want that over any other for domestic use?

Hey everyone! New guy here to this site, very long time Mac user, audiophile, and long time website and forum reader for everything tech.

A little background about myself — Not to boast, but I know more about Macs (and Apple in general) than the highest tier level Apple tech support supervisor (apparently) since none of the people I spoke to in that position knew what a Quadra 840AV was, so knowing right then and there they would be of no help, I had to inform them it was a Mac from 1992 with a Motorola 68040 chipset at 40 MHz and the Mac model right before the first PowerPC 601 came out. But hell, maybe they weren't even born yet. I'm 36. Apple hires 'em young so they don't have to pay them much. (TRUE FACT: When Apple's profits are averaged out, for every Apple employee in the company, Apple earns $2.2 million annually off them.)

This was during the time when the iPad 3 would not charge while on and plugged in, nor would any in-store models. It was my testing for them that led them to change the 10W power adapter to a 12W even though I informed them multiple times that it wouldn't make a difference unless the internals were fixed. But for all the help I gave them and for conducting multiple beta tests of iPhones and iPads, reporting thousands of bugs, they never thought it necessary to compensate me for my time by even sending me a new 12W power adapter to try. (Finally, years later a Canadian tech rep felt bad they screwed me and sent me one along with a 2m Lightning cable for free. That was the extent of their generosity to someone who not only spent hundreds of hours bug and beta testing for them but spending close to $200,000 on Apple equipment for personal and business use since 1992.)

Over the past few days I've read the entire thread, except today's stuff from page 176-191, only now 192 to respond to this question and share some experiences.

Firstly, it's not just a single new LTE band, 30, that separates the two from what I've been told. According to T-Mobile, the new 6S/6S+ is also supposed to include the 700 MHz Extended LTE band, but Apple's tech specs do not mention 700 MHz, so I don't really know what the outcome will be.

I've had reception issues with my iPhone 6+ 128GB Space Gray ever since I received it. If I drive near the tower or are outdoors in a good area I'll get 5 bars and get up to 98Mb/s down and 30Mb/s up when it's at -80dB. In my apartment I only get 1-2 bars with a -122dB signal and max speeds of 14/9. I even tried their signal booster which in my apartment that isn't large, should have no problem showing an 8 or 9, but it gives me a big, fat 0. So no help there. You should know I'm only 0.4 miles from my tower. My parents, who also have T-Mobile and the 6+ in Space Gray 128 and 64 varieties, used to get bad reception, too. But their tower is about 1.3 miles away, more than 3x the distance of mine, and now they always get 3-5 bars indoors and pull speeds of 55/17. Yet T-Mobile tells me my tower was already upgraded a long time ago and is not scheduled for any new updates. It's not like it really matters much for me though because I have TWC internet at home and I'm getting 200/20 for the price of 50/5, so at home speed isn't an issue for me.

Where to start after already starting.... My first experience with T-Mobile in this decade rejoining them was horrible. I was charged for my phone, then it was refunded, then charged again, then refunded, then charged again in 2 amounts for the phone as one charge and the corrected tax as another charge, then those two charges were refunded, then I was charged again for a 4TH time with the SIM card charge refunded.

Then when I got the phone I called them up to discuss that nonsense and spent 12 hours on the phone with them, speaking to 38 different people who kept misrouting my call and getting me disconnected. Finally, I reach the 39th person who knows what my problem is and why I show all these charges (which did eventually drop off by the way, but still...) and SWORE he would call me back if we got disconnected. We got disconnected and he never called back so I gave up.

On day 2 I realized the SIM card they gave me with the phone was somehow already hacked and started calling the same, erroneous number no matter who I dialed. So they had to send me a new SIM.

I wanted to get the $270 for the ETF fee I owed Sprint. I was instructed to FAX the Sprint bill to a certain number. 4 1/2 months went by and I still had received no debit card. I called back up and they informed me I was misinformed and even escalated the issue, but ultimately after speaking with 6 supervisors and 2 managers there was nothing they could do for me and I was SOL getting my money because it was over 90 days, and they said the bill had to be submitted electronically through their website which was NEVER told to me; I was told to FAX the bill to a number given to me and that he would handle it for me. They claimed whoever gave me the fax number lied to me because they have no fax number for ETF credits. So they screwed me out of $270, refused to check the phone logs, and told me if I don't like it I can leave T-Mobile. No credit, nothing. (I didn't take their trade in value for my phone since I sold it for much more.)

Prior to starting to beta test iOS 9, which I submitted over 300 bug reports for out of a total 360,000 submitted, my phone always had a horrible echoing sound in the background. I'm now on beta 9.1 so I can't even get the golden master of 9.0 unless I go through a ton of hard work but I've experienced issues like 1 out of every 5 rings is not a ring; it's a very loud crackling sound where I think the speaker is going to blow. When I turn on speakerphone, it doesn't actually go to speaker until 5-10 seconds later. And since 9.1, now 2 out of 5 Bluetooth calls in my car spontaneously go from 3 1/2 minutes on Bluetooth, then to regular phone mode, then I have to switch it back again, and this repeats in an endless cycle. So look forward to that in 9.1.

Of course you all know how iOS 8.4.1 gave us the new Apple Music which screwed up all of our cover art if we had our own music loaded, which I do in lossless formats.

My T-Mobile bill magically seems to go up every month between $0.02 and $0.27, and only once decreased by $0.16. They claim it's taxes but I've called those tax boards to find out what the truth is, and that truth is T-Mobile is screwing us.

John Legere just made a new announcement today for a new JoD plan specifically for trading in paid off iPhones, in which your new iPhone 6S will only cost you $5, $10, or $15 per month depending on the size you want, or your new 6S+ at $10, $15, and $20 per month, regardless of which iPhone you trade in so long as it's a paid off 5S or newer, I believe, and you can keep upgrading to new iPhones at those same, super low rates. But I'm sticking with my original Jump! plan with insurance. When I signed up, the difference in price was only $1, with insurance at $9 and Jump with insurance at $10. But now if you don't want Jump any more you can downgrade to full insurance for $5. Well, I can anyway, maybe because I have the unlimited voice, text, and data for $80 a month and Jump with insurance for $10 a month. I used to have the 5GB data match plan for $10/month which is only for unlimited high speed data customers, for my iPad Air 2 cellular 128GB SG which I had bought outright with cash from the Apple Store, but I just sold my iPad which was flawless like everything I own, for $550. You know how much T-Mobile is offering on a trade-in for it? A disgustingly pathetic $148, for an $830 device plus tax, that hasn't been replaced with a new model yet. I sold it because I rarely ever used it and paying for the data match plan was a waste of $120 for the year as I used it for maybe 2 days out of the year. Maybe I'll get an iPad again when all models have the proper 4 speakers. Apple is still ripping us off with the extra keyboard and "pencil" for the already super expensive iPad Pro.

I had a Motorola Razr V3 for 6 years before I joined the smartphone revolution, and started with the iPhone 4S. I've subsequently owned the top model of every iPhone since: the 4S, 5, 5S, 6+, and arriving on Friday the SG 6S+ 128GB, but I still have tons of complaints about them, though I truly hate Android and Windows phone is laughable.

I've also had the iPad 2 (which I won in a SquareTrade contest by randomly picking someone's link online, and they gave away 50 iPads to those 25 pairs of people, out of like 150,000 entrants, so I thought initially the phone call was a fraud but my iPad showed up from Apple the next day and the receipt followed 15 minutes after the phone call. They chose the pair of people every day for 25 days and I think I was on the third day, and the person who's link I randomly stumbled upon was so happy I did because they picked the winners from the people who clicked on the links, not the people who posted the links). Then I had the iPad 3, (skipped the ridiculous iPad 4 which only added a lightning connector and something else), then got the iPad Air, and finally the iPad Air 2.

Here's a big problem with T-Mobile's website, as if they don't have enough already — Do your iPhones show the incorrect model, and when you go to change it to the correct model it reverts back every 3 days? For example, instead of showing that I own a Space Gray 128GB iPhone 6 Plus, it shows I have a Gold 16GB iPhone 6 Plus. It did the same thing to my iPad. — So this doesn't really concern me except that when I click on the link to do a Jump upgrade now and it says I would have to pay another $275 before I could upgrade (which is correct because I put down $200, and $475 is half of $950), it shows my phone number, the new iPhones IMEI #, but it says iPhone 6S+ Rose Gold 16GB. I'm not really concerned and the reps tell me it's just a website error and they haven't corrected it in at least a year, obviously!
But under the Explore status page it says my iPhone 6S Plus Space Gray 128GB has been packed for shipping and will ship tomorrow (well, it's 12:16 a.m. now so actually today). And I did receive my tracking # on the 21st, and all models of space gray 6S+ are available for Friday even ordering today.
I imagine if it was really the Rose Gold 16GB by mistake it wouldn't even be packed as they are still showing early November for the 16 and 64GB for the 6S "Plus" models, and 2-4 weeks for the 128GB model.
I have a feeling that all of you who pre-ordered those 16 or 64 Rose Gold PLUS models are not going to get them on the 25th even if you preordered at 12:05 a.m. on the 12th. You have a slim chance if you ordered the 128. Let's just say I have an inside line on this. (FYI, that's because Apple kept the available stock to sell direct on their site knowing there was a shortage being a simultaneous multi-national release and not anticipating Rose Gold being the most demanded color option, which it has been in pre-orders.) In fact, the demand by color is in this rank order: 1) Rose Gold, 2) Silver, 3) Space Gray, 4) Gold. For some odd reason Apple keeps making the fronts of those 3 models in white, and only the Space Gray in black. It's time they started matching the front to the back, in my opinion.
And the T-Mobile pre-order "first come first serve as long as they are Jump and then JoD" means nothing. My order number (aside from the S and zeros) started with 616xxx and my call was answered at 12:38 a.m. on 9/12, yet people who called in hours later got numbers starting with 615xxx, and people who called in days later and got numbers 637xxx had their tracking numbers and IMEI numbers before I did, and in many cases their boxes packed before mine. I do have the pleasure of knowing that my phone is week 37 which is Sep. 14-20, so it's "hot off the press" as they say in my industry.

....But I'm glad that finally on the 23rd my phone status under Explore changed from expecting to ship on the 24th to being packed and expecting to ship on the 24th.

Also, and this is from the UPS site:
– Depending on where you live, if you're new iPhone is being shipped (like mine) by Next Day Air Saver, most areas will get it by 3 pm if they normally get regular Next Day Air (not Saver) shipments by 10:30 am. However, some areas will get it by 4:30 pm if they get regular Next Day Air (not Saver) shipments by 12 pm noon. — BUT — and this is a big but..... From previous experience with iPhone deliveries, (and UPS tries their best by having dedicated trucks delivering ONLY iPhones all day long to speed up delivery, instead of having drivers delivering iPhones AND having to pick-up and deliver other shipments that could be heavy objects), even though they claim those are the guaranteed delivery times you should throw it out the window because every year on a release date iPhones get delivered as late as 8:30-9 pm. So be prepared for a long wait. And if you live in Philadelphia, certain zip codes will not be receiving UPS deliveries on the 25th and 26th due to closed routes from the Pope's visit. You can check the UPS site and enter your zip code to see if you will be affected. It seems like only 2 zip codes per day will be affected. (I'm a proud atheist, and I love what this Pope stands for, (and screw all the conservative Republicans that hate him and are supposed to be good Catholics), but his timing was poorly planned for the biggest iPhone release yet. Though, he wouldn't much care what we think because he hates capitalism, and in most ways I do, too. And if any of us were truly 100% ethical in every way, we would never buy an iPhone due to the Foxxconn working conditions.)

Well, this has been a very long introductory post with lots of info. It was nice reading most all of your posts, even if they were 99% redundant, and despite my dislike for T-Mobile and Apple, they still are the best choices which is why I am here posting. If any of you need certain insider information about anything Apple, other tech companies, and lots of other new or upcoming technology, don't hesitate to ask me. If I have an answer for you, I will spill the beans. (I do business with Intel, Yahoo!, IBM, and many more so I will tell you what I can, providing it's not something that can be traced back to the source.)

So in conclusion, please have a great night and a safe one, guys, and I will continue reading the forum and answer any questions you may have for me for another few hours still. I hope we all receive tracking updates soon and see movement, for tomorrow we shall (mostly) be one community, under iOS 9, with iPhones and delight for all.

Peace & Light,
