I get the AT&T Unlimited Elite plan with the 40GB hotspot and no high-speed data throttling ever, accidental/theft/loss insurance, and HBO Max for $52.50 per month (with taxes and fees) and no, my employer is not involved. Also, I do not work for AT&T. Every friend I have that is on T-Mobile has horrible reception when they call me and their calls frequently drop on their end. Small sample size I know but these are folks both in major cities in the US as well as rural areas. But hey, if people want to pay $90 on T-Mobile, more power to them.
Yes but with this new t-Mobile plan you get free phones every 2 years forever. That’s $800 every 2 years, or you can look at it as $33 dollars per month per line.

If a person can't afford to buy the phone outright, that should be a red flag that the person needs to adjust the budget to fit the income. The heck with being tied to a carrier due to phone financing.

I am with T-Mobile and have been happy with the service. I am not interested in spending a lot more for this new tier.

iPhone has now gotten to the point where I don't feel compelled to upgrade as often. The feature changes are nothing like the early years. Seems even Apple themselves have moved to a three year major update cycle as evident by their design language (iPhone X/XS/11, 12/13/14, 15+)
I guess Apple’s iFold plans are on hold or moving slower than expected. Then again, I don’t see a folding iPhone giving us something that we haven’t already seen with Samsung’s several generations of folding phones besides the Apple logo and possibly a higher price.

Jesus, those prices are monthly! I thought they were yearly. You can get unlimited everything here with 5G for about £18 a month.
The UK is smaller than the state of New Mexico. Your costs would be similar if your provider had to build out a network infrastructure 49 times larger. One of the same reasons our Molson drinkers to the north have high charges🍻.

I have 3 lines for $110 and never leaving that with almost the same benefits as the new plans. It’s really about profit now and making shareholders happy. I remember how Tmobile used to be beating competitors out.

To mention also, Tmobile also wants you to add a debit card as of may to receive the auto pay discount. Credit cards wont qualify anymore which I was able to get 5% back on monthly as well.
I saw that note on their website. I am not giving them my debit card number. lol I wasn't going to pay any bills with my Apple Savings account but, I will do so with T-Mobile. I don't like the idea of them having direct access to my checking account.

T-Mobile is getting as bad as the other two with their 57 flavors of unlimited plans to confuse the customer.

T-Mobile sucs now after John Legere left. Higher and higher monthly plans, new penalty for using credit card autopay, worthless TMo Tuesdays, unusable 'free' global roaming, fees to upgrade devices etc. Now they want to know why I left after 10+ years lol.

Apple should have built their own network, expensive devices turned useless for lack of network, what is the purpose, no future, Apple is moving too slowly they are bale to take bold decision, they like to stay afloat = no future.

Same here on my Fiber plan but I have yet to hear from ATT on what the new MAX ;) deal is? Does it have a time limit?
I'm actually curious because perk wise AT&T has definitely fallen behind on their unlimited plans. I do stick around with them for international traveling though, can't beat $10 a day for unlimited everything while roaming.

I know this is probably unpopular, and not for everyone - I understand.

Save up for the unlocked phone you want and use the incredibly cheaper and better valued Prepaid plans...and keep your phone for 4-5 years.

Major extra credit if you buy a slightly preowned unlocked phone also.

The value to be had there is staggering.
It’s not always cheaper and/or a better value.

Those who are first responders, doctors, teachers, military, etc. get 25% off a $65 unlimited line before the $10 AutoPay discount through AT&T and monthly device credits so you don’t have to shell out $850 up front for a phone. Each line after that gets cheaper. By the time you hit lines 3 ans 4, you‘re paying $15-$25 a month and have a free iPhone 14 with the trade.

To be honest the way inflation is still sky high & the fact the majority of pay monthly plans have RPI/CPI & 3.9% each year it won’t be long until we’re in parity with some of the tariffs pricing wise with the US of A 😂

The Unlimited Premium plan no longer includes HBO Max. It does, however, include 50 GB of hotspot and other discounts to make the price of your plan significantly cheaper, especially if you qualify for those discounts.

The plan starts at $85 a month for 1 line. If your employer offers a discount, it gets knocked down to $75 a month. Now when you use autopay + paper free billing, it gets knocked down to $65 a month. Join AARP and all of your activation fees will be waived. $65 is chump change for a post-paid unlimited plan.

If you're military, a teacher, first responder, doctor, etc... Your plan gets 25% off Unlimited Premium. Did a quote recently with my parents for 4 lines on the account. Each would get a brand new iPhone 14 for $0.01 a month with a trade in. With 4 lines, each was $37.50 a month including the phones on the top tier plan. Why would we pay for straight talk when we'd have to pay $45 each for the line + the cost of the phone?

Exactly. I use Blau (O2) in Germany. 100 Bucks a year for 4 Gigs and unlimited Talk and Messages each month. This year i'll buy an 15 pro max. That will last until 6G comes around.

Seems to be that you pay an extra $5 a month per line to be able to upgrade every 2 years instead of what will probably become 3 (and get 15GB high speed data in Canada/Mexico instead of 5GB, which is whatever for most people).

So you're paying an extra $60 so you can upgrade one year early - which was what their current plan was. This is just a convoluted way to devalue their existing plans, since you'll have to pay $5 more per month for the same thing you had before.

Edit: Plus for people who aren't customers they are going to require them to get the new more expensive plan to pay off your phone balance now, which they used to do for all plans. It's a bunch of devaluations that they are pretending are good for the customer for no reason.
15 GB od data in Canada is not “whatever” for me.
