Soon I'll have 1Gbit Up/Down fiber at the house for $69. Pass.
I just started the Tmobile home service over the weekend. 500 down, 50 up <25ms ping. My xfinity service was getting about 800 down, 35 up, <20ms ping and that tier was costing me $105/month when you add in the modem rental to get unlimited data. This tmobile service is a gamechanger for those of us without access to symmetrical fiber. Bye bye xfinity. And I'm in the Atlanta metro area. Not sure why Tmobile is not advertising higher speeds.

I'm in the Atlanta metro area. I don't have access to fiber internet. Xfinity cable internet was my only option. With Tmobile home internet I'm getting 400-500 down, 50 up <25ms ping consistently. $60/month is a great deal! It includes free gateway rental and unlimited data.

Xfinity was costing me $105 ($70 promo rate + $25 xfi advantage so I could get unlimited data). The promo rate goes up to $116 at the end of the 12 month period.

Tmobile Home Internet is an absolute gamechanger. I'm so happy I was finally able to get rid of Xfinity.

I have no affiliation to tmobile. I rarely post on these forums but I'm still shocked at how good this service is and wanted to share my experience with people. I think tmobile will be very competitive in urban and metro areas. This is not mainly for rural areas as many are suggesting.

I can barely get a 5G signal indoors anywhere so I don’t see how this could be reliable.

True... and that's why they recommend placing it at a window... and on a second floor, if possible.

Another thing to remember is that the receiver is much larger than a phone... thus its antennas are larger too. So that may help grab the signal.

But yes... coverage is always a consideration when dealing with cellular.
