Picking up all kinds of LTE in Detroit and suburbs now.

Troy, Sterling Heights, Warren, Madison Heights, Royal Oak, Southfield, Dearborn

Also along any of the freeways from I-75 south around Big Beaver, to 94 W to Dearborn Area, which runs through downtown Detroit. Also 696W to Southfield Fwy south.

North of Troy (Rochester Hills, Rochester, etc) seems to default to 4G.

Have been to downtown Detroit yet since getting TMob service last week, so I can't report on the service there.

(If anyone is familair with the area, can you tell I commute from Rochester to Dearborn?)

I'm seeing the same type of thing happening in the Tampa Bay area.

Allentown, PA.

I encountered a weak LTE signal at my favorite Turkish restaurant at 34 N. 2nd Street. The screenshot below was taken from inside the restaurant.

good post

surprised every night when im on Rochester Rd and Avon i pick up LTE and drops off to 4G a little down the road. good news regardless.

Also 24 mile and Van Dyke is picking up LTE

hope it hits all of Macomb County soon. compared to 4G  LTE is amazing, Tmobile is doing a great job.

New Orleans went live on the 27th. Both speed test are from New Orleans, but I like the T-Mobile hosted server in Houston, and it was what I used when I got my best speed test result. It's a 5 MHz channel market, and Metro PCS is being broadcast using MOCN.

Nothing on North Shore yet, but I think it may be coming as it appears they are taking Dual Carrier HSPA down and I have seen a random PCS HSPA carrier popping up when I'm at work. Time will tell.

Finally saw LTE here in north Seattle area (around Mountlake/Lynnwood WA). It's about 30Mbps/12Mbps with a T-mobile iPhone 5.

LTE shows up along the majority of the beltway along northern VA and in a good portion of the beltway in PG County, though not as consistent as NOVA. On I-395 approaching the Pentagon, I did a rootmetrics test and came away with a 30dl/12ul LTE speed which was the fastest I saw.

Went to the mountains last weekend and noticed LTE on my iPhone 5 while going through Asheville. Surprised to see it in such a small town.

Another thing I've noticed is that the download speeds I get on LTE are actually lower on average than the ones I get on "4G" (HSPA+). The upload speeds are way higher with LTE though and in actual usage webpages seem to load faster.

I think this thread will be updated tomorrow, as CEO John Legere may announce big network plans for tomorrow, another with other industry-shaking moves. :D

Nice. They turned it on in Lexington. That used to be a 2G only area. Next they need to plug the hole between Burlington and Chapel Hill, then the LTE will be pretty much continuous between Charlotte and Raleigh.

Same with my neighborhood. I'm finally seeing LTE but it is only one to two bars then it drops back to 4G. It's inconsistent through the day but when I drive out of my neighborhood LTE is full blast.
