I would suggest waiting a bit longer. I think Google's "flagship" nexus phone comes out about ever year or so, meaning that the Galaxy Nexus' successor should be out soon.
The forthcoming HTC One X+ is going to be huge for T-Mobile. The NVIDIA Tegra 3 is insane. Quad-Core 1.7 Ghz CPU with 12-Core GPUWill be interesting to see how much battery they can squeeze into that beast.
Not to mention HSPA+, which is frackin' awesome.
very true, but I'm sure it will be well over $350....more like $700
The price is one of the most interesting factors to watch out for. I wonder if they can/will price the 2012 Nexus close to the current Nexus. If they could sell it through the Play store, unlocked, for anywhere close to $399, I think it would be incredible. Doubt it though.
Traditionally, Nexus devices sell at $530 or so.
Yeah, I think when they originally sold the nexus through the googleplay store it was $750 if not $799. Then when they were able to sell them again they came out at the $350 price and have been selling like hotcakes. It is by far the best iphone alternative.
Does anyone know if 3G/HSPA+ refarming is already done in Miami, Florida?
Sprints WiMAX and LTE speeds are decent. Archaic Apple is the problem by not supporting either.Nice and they will be a better option than Sprint since their data speeds are actually usable.
Oh yahh... 3G FTW....Not to mention HSPA+, which is frackin' awesome.
Indeed. That will be a really awesome handset when it is released. It is exciting to see a cell phone finally have more raw power than even recent computers. The forthcoming HTC One X+ is going to be huge for T-Mobile. The NVIDIA Tegra 3 is insane. I am glad T hasn't gotten the iPhone.. Look at what happened to Sprint. All the iPhone did was put them further in debt, and less able to build out their new 4G networks. Apples fees are too much, and frankly, T-mobile will also slide further down if they sign any handset contracts with the devil. T already has millions of unlocked iPhone customers on the network, which they didn't initially have to pay for through any subsidies, so ultimately leaving it like that is probably the best route. They should've done this a long time ago. They REALLY should've done this when they were the LAST major carrier to not have the iPhone. No idea why they thought the could sit on their laurels (without the iPhone) and be competitive.
Why? What was the problem.I am too stubbon to ever go back to TMO. Even if they had great 4G coverage in my area and offered me an unlimited everything plan for the iPhone for the same price I pay now, I couldn't do it. I just can't bring myself to let them have my money again.
Maybe its a good thing T-Mobile's network doesn't currently support a 3G iPhone. Maybe that's why their network is so nice. iphones just bog it down. The next iPhone could very well support T-Mobile, but T-Mobile would have to pay Apple a lot of money to carry a subsidized version. They won't. T-Mobile has survived all this time without the iPhone and they will continue to do so.
Why? At least cricket is actually trying. For example, Cricket is starting to install LTE capable towers, and not just lying to the consmer and renaming old 3G HSDPA+ "4G"...It still pisses me off that they give CRICKET an iPhone but not T-Mobile. Cricket really is the lowest of the low when it comes to carriers.

Why? They pissed you off?
I was with TMO for seven years, I always payed my bill on time. I used an upgrade to buy a new phone that the sales rep talked me in to. I actually really liked the phone but it had a defect with the charging port. This was a model defect, not a one off issue. They insisted on replacing the phone with the same exact model, all of which had the same defect. This is TMO insisting, and I had insurance through them as well. I asked them if I could just get a different phone and they said it is policy to replace with the same model- which is probably not even true in this case. After the third replacement inevitably stopped working (it only took a matter of two weeks) they told me I would have to purchase a new phone at full price because I've used up all my replacements, apparently they give you three and that's it. Keep in mind I am not rough with my phones. I've been using an iPhone 4 and 4S for the past two years and I've never broken anything or cracked the screen, etc. I got into it over the phone with TMO several times, I felt that since they acknowledged that model of phone had a serious defect it was not fair to make me pay for a new phone at full price. I essentially used my upgrade just to get in to this mess. They wouldn't do anything for me, refused to cut me a break on a new phone or with the ETF.
So after that, I'm out for good. They could give me a free iPhone with unlimited everything for $50 a month and I'd still go elsewhere. ATT sucks, but they have never pulled a stunt like that on me. TMO just isn't gonne get another dime from me, plain and simple. So for now I'll stay with ATT and see how the service is around my area when I get a 4G iPhone.
Now if only I could convince the girlfriend to ditch them I'd be truly happy haha
