While on one hand, I appreciate T-Mo trying to not count the biggest offender of mobile data usage... on the other, this sure is starting to sound like the Satellite/Cable TV packages. "And for only 5 bucks more a month, such-and-such different streaming service also doesn't count against your data usage."
Yuck.
what your missing is that you're getting ripped off by AT&T.What am I missing? I get 20GB of data for $145 with AT&T.
T-Mobile sells unlimited for $80. Quite a difference.What am I missing? I get 20GB of data for $145 with AT&T.
Bye At&t.... nice knowing you
TMobile is doing big things and shaking up the industry!!!
I hope AT&T and Verizon are watching...
In every thread, whenever T-Mobile does something like this, there are people that post stuff like this. Good luck!
What people fail to realize is, THEY HAVE to do stuff like this to get customers. T-Mobile service is terrible anywhere that matters, for the most part. I doubt T-Mobil will ever have a network that could go head to head with the big 2.
They're watching T-Mobile and laughing because of what they have to do in order to get more customers. Verizon and AT&T have nothing to worry about and won't change anything because of this. It sucks but that's how it works when your one of the two largest, best networks in the US.

It's no increase in price. They're simply doubling the amount of data you get for your money vs the old plans, and video no longer counts towards it... given that video is currently responsible for ~50% of my data usage, I would say that realistically, this is closer to offering 4x as much data for the old prices.
I just moved and Comcast went from bad in my old apartment to worse in my new house. I'm estimating that within a year, I cut Comcast entirely and swap to online only for videos, and a cellular provider only for internet.
Where was additional money brought up?
The problem I have with this is that it's going to encourage more people to stream on a cellular network that has a very limited amount of bandwidth, creating a very congested network and thus, slower cell traffic for everyone in the same area.
Tmobile should be focusing on improving its coverage first and build more cell towers with bigger capacity backend instead of pushing their current network to the limits.

I could never get a LTE signal or even a 3G signal at my house here in Denver with AT&T and Verizon. I had to move to T-Mobile to FINALLY get service where I live. It is outstanding. I tested out at 60Mbps at noon today whereas AT&T would get me 0.5 Mbps.In every thread, whenever T-Mobile does something like this, there are people that post stuff like this. Good luck!

So is Apple's iTunes ...YouTube is noticeably absent from the list...for now.
If only their coverage by me was better.
That's a depressing way to look at it. I think I'm going to keep my hopes up. lolThey're watching T-Mobile and laughing because of what they have to do in order to get more customers.
