Until you go inside a building...For whatever reason, T-mobile's signal cannot penetrate commercial buildings.
Can you hear me now? They're very fast in my area but more importantly, in terms of the quality of customer service and how they treat me as a customer, T-Mobile is 5G and AT&T is two tin cans with a piece of string between them.
That is true for me as well, unless I am in the grocery store and then it's crap like most other carriers. lolThe 600Mhz band 71 works fine in buildings. Neither my wife nor I have any issues using our phones in office buildings in our area.
Now if you don't have a phone which can use that band, then you'll have issues.
In my experience, the 5G is worse. This looks like you are on 4G LTE, not 5G...
Seems I was always reading Sprint service was terrible (unless you liked those annoying walkie-talkie phones from days long past). Maybe you're on the same crappy Sprint towers, but paying T-Mobile for the privilege?what a joke , still trash here and I was forced to go to T-mobile from Sprint , been with sprint since 1995
When? LTE only? You can’t speak for now. You should try with a 5G capable phone and you might come back to T-MoT-Mobile is garbage in San Francisco. I was lucky to get 3 mbps down in Eurkea Valley near Castro. Lots of dead zones all over SF. Had to switch to ATT
You’re on LTE! Try on a 5G capable phone! Your test is meaninglessUnless you're in a dead or weak spot... then it's terrible.

Interesting, I noticed absolutely no difference switching from T-Mobile to AT&T and then going back to T-Mobile. At least in NYC.This is all assuming you can get T-Mobile coverage anywhere. I switched from ATT to T-Mobile a couple years ago, and it was the biggest mistake ever. Coverage at work and school in a major Metro area was spotty at best. Forget about traveling anywhere. I switched back as soon as I could.
Their customer service and what they offer is absolutely supreme! They're very fast in my area but more importantly, in terms of the quality of customer service and how they treat me as a customer, T-Mobile is 5G and AT&T is two tin cans with a piece of string between them.
His mom needs a new 5G phone. It sounds like your mom needs to be looking for another wireless carrier since it appears T Mobile is going to be unable to reliably service her home.
Yup, I'm currently just south of FL and there will be areas where your service just stopsMy mom lives in Fort Lauderdale, and maybe a week ago, she had no service. My mom had previously been with Sprint, and recently they migrated her over to T-Mobile's network. I called the T-Mobile rep for her and rep said my mom lives in a "degraded service area." I ask the rep what does she mean by "degraded service area" and she says that means during certain times there will be no service.

Basically, sometimes she'll get service and sometimes she won't.
Such as what?..Are there certain iPhone features that are only available with an ATT account?
Fair point. My experience was on their 4G LTE network using my old XS Max. ATT 5G is great in SF and I have no desire to switch back to T-Mo. Hopefully T-MO’s 5G is better, but I found their dead spots and coverage issues baffling considering the Bay Area’s special status as the tech and VC hub here on planet Earth. When? LTE only? You can’t speak for now. You should try with a 5G capable phone and you might come back to T-Mo
