They're great actually. Have you personally used Sprint in the last year? if not you have no knowledge of how good the network has become.

Yeah it works great for me where I live. I'm all over place due to work and it's rare that I don't have LTE. I don't really travel out of state so obviously I can't speak for everyone.

Not in some areas.

Oh, I can stream internet radio most of the time, but in the two places where I work and live LTE has yet to get above two bars. And even though my iPhone 5 is 1900mhz capable only, I am not buried somewhere deep inside a building.

LTE is roughly the speed of 3G (about 1.5mbps down) and about 0.5mbps up on average. That's here in the Phoenix, Arizona market where s4gru.com says we're about 47% complete. And that's that they got started in December 2012 and that AZ has a temperate winter climate. No digging in frozen ground or dealing with snow and ice.

Did I mention that Sprint launched the Phoenix market when it hit 40% of coverage? Yeah…launched! :(

Wonder how much of Texas is covered.

Sprint has Framily. Sprint also has Boost, Virgin Mobile and Ting. Those are prepaid MVNOs that use the Sprint network.

I agree with you about unlocking.

Yeah I know that if varies by area, but in all of the places I travel in PA and NJ I have LTE everywhere and I only have access to B25 LTE, when I am able to access B26 and B41 LTE it's only going to get better.

Sprint and their forever locked phones can go Fuuk themselves.

I'm just going to assume that you are expressing your angry and hostile opinion about Sprint in my general direction and not that you are intentionally aiming that invective directly at me. :D

For some but I've seen countless complaints from Family members (Parents had Sprint a while back in San Diego) and friends also in San Diego and the LA area and they all hate it. I'm not risking getting in a contract with them and I know that the service won't work in my area or any of the areas that I normally go to.

You have 14 days to return your phone before you commit to a contract, give them a go before you count them out.

It's really not worth giving them a try for most people. There doesn't really seem to be any true advantage to using them. They're coverage is spotty, and worse than AT&T even in South Jersey. Also, they're iPhones lose the most value out of all the major carriers, because of their nomsensic rules. Why support a company that won't unlock a phone that you OWN. I'm talking about after it's all paid off of course. I'm almost positive that 14 day return would include a restocking fee. Whereas T-Mobile actually let's you try out the network for free

How do you find T-Mo network in South Jersey? I just signed up for the test drive and I will be giving it a shot, but I see you're closer to the Philly area. Im near the beach, so I will test it mostly around here. In-laws are by you, so I need it to be good there too.

Yeah Sprint has a pretty bad reputation these days. Coverage, slow data speeds, locked down devices, you name it. I don't see very many people signing up to test drive them. Most are trying to get away from them.

All Sprint phones sold after 2015 will be unlockable with sprint.
Right, but since Sprint has revamped it's unlock policy a month or so ago to make it look like unlocking a device is a manufacturer problem and not the fault of Sprint, pre-2015 devices will remain locked. Sprint has laid the groundwork so they can still give you the middle finger when you want to unlock your pre-2015 device.

Sprint has a very long history of introducing something "new" and then making it so that the only way you can get the "new" thing is to buy a new device. It's a win for Sprint and manufacturers but a lose for customers.

Sprint promised LTE. Which is good, because I have an LTE capable iPhone 5. But then they promised Spark. Guess what, I need an iPhone 6 for that because not even the iPhone 5c and 5s can handle all three bands that Spark uses!

This unlock promise is the same thing.
