I think they'll come out with a T9 speech thang sooner than you think. i wish they'd just add some slang soon.

This guy?

I think they're much more widely used in the UK than in the US. I don't know about the rest of Europe though.

Hehe, do you think that guy resigned by text?!!

I don't think I could live without T9. My only gripe is that because of crappy 3G service which causes my phone to overheat, I'm now on my fourth handset in my current year's contract and every time Orange issue me a new one I have to start updating the dictionary again!

A couple of examples of missing words:
'cheeky' ...comes up as 'cheekw' for some reason
'dodgy' ...also not there... comes up as 'endiz'

what the hell kind of words are 'cheekw' and 'endiz'?

Wow, I have better luck with my phone for sure. Do you use T9 more than you talk on the phone now cause I do?

Yeah, I think so but this program's awsome and moto's suck anyways.

i can not beleive this thread! are you americans that backwards!!!!!

i have been using t9 since my nokia 8210 which is like 5 and a bit years ago!!!!

do non of you text over there, i send like 400 a month on average! i get 1000 free though with my contract!

i am in shock!

I've never once sent or recieved a text message in my life. But I also rack up a massive 30 min per month on my cell. :D

Who do you text with that often? Just curious. I have a lot of email correspondence, but I prefer to make calls with friends on my landline - cell phones are uncomfortable for long conversations.

Because it saves my minutes. Minutes cost more than the $5 I pay a month to text all I want.

I always use predictive (t9) text, it is so much quicker especially when you can add your own words. I do quite a lot of texting, sent about 1300 one month not so long ago!
