Don't you guys have the Brita filters that screw on the faucet? We lasted about a week with the fill it up as you go model and I nearly killed Rob within days.

I've never even knew they made such a thing!!
You colonists get all the fun toys:D

Hmmm... Voss is actually just an hour away from here, and I've never seen that brand before...

Do you know who produces it...?

Yup: VOSS Production AS of N-4730 Vatnestrøm, Norway.....

(and sorry for the unnecessary two posts in a row. I was too keen.)

I drink VOSS also. It always was VOSS bubbly water came in glass bottles and flat water came in plastic but they've changed everything over to the glass bottles now. Awesome water, cool bottle!

Hmm... cheaters... neither the company nor the water are from Voss, they're not even from the same part of Norway... and I suspect they only sell the local tap water, more or less directly from the tap, in fancy bottles...

Whenever I drink bottled water I prefer real mineral water like Olden. ;)

The water in Denver is actually very good (the tap water) - but if I lived in the midwest (like, say, St. Louis), I'd be drinking bottled water all the way!

If it's water, I'll drink it. I make an exception in certain countries, but in daily life, I don't give a hoot. Tap water is just as good as bottled water in many countries, and most people don't even know it. Just because it has stuff in it, doesn't make it bad.

 aww, man! I feel cheated ( but I don't pay for my VOSS, they stock it at the restaurant I work in, and we can drink as much as we want of it because the tap water tastes like plastic and bleach)

At my house, I have my own spring well in our yard and our tap water is awesome. Coffee and tea made with our water is great too.

EDIT: According to their website:

Source and Origin

As we know by now, VOSS Artesian Water from Norway comes from an aquifer in the untouched nature of Southern Norway, protected from pollutants by layers of rock and ice, producing pure water unlike any other. This pristine aquifer produces naturally unfiltered artesian water, bottled at one of the purest water sources yet found on the planet.

Both.. Neither? Depends.

Our house is out in the country and we have well water. While it tastes significantly better than city water, it still doesn't taste very nice (high levels of zinc and manganese). So all the water we drink goes through a filtration system.

When at work int he city, the city water tastes like bleach. It's nasty. So I drink filtered or bottled, or coffee.

i rarely drink bottled water. however, i occasionaly buy a bottle of water to use the bottle for future tap/water fountain water... we have brita/pur filter jugs at home. and everday i just fill up my bottle 2-4 times from the water fountain. i enjoy the pvc leaking into the water... mmmmmm

Well, there are no glaciers anywhere near where they are, so I'm a bit sceptical to the "covered by ice and rocks"-part... ;)

They probably just use a local water source at Iveland, it might be a different one than the local water works, but then again it might not. Either way it's probably high quality, but still no better than ordinary Norwegian tap water. :)

Whatever. If we have bottled water, I'll usually take that but if I am just sitting at home, tap does the job. Bottled water is for on the go.

... blind-tastings... (Thames Water) and a range of bottled ... varieties

A documentary programme did a test where they got 100 people to sample different waters (I think it was Thames, Evian, Volvic and Sainsbury's) and decide which was their favourite, which Thames Water won by a considerable amount.

Depending on where you live, tap water is excellent. Where I live (Hants) we have Thames Water and it's nice, but my girlfriend's house has the same supplier and is very 'hard'

I usually just drink tap water, but I don't really care about the difference, so I don't see the point in paying money for bottled water (unless you're in, say, mexico).

Water that tastes the best to me is water that has been put in a jug and left open in the fridge for a few days to dechlorinate. :)

I don't know about other people's water supplies, but ours definitely isn't the healthiest for you - chlorine, fluoride, who knows what else they put in there... Since I'm very health-conscious, I always drink bottled water when i am away, purified water at home (we have an RO system installed) and I am part of the "cooler club" at work, so I always get my water from a water cooler there. It's better for my body than tap water and especially with our RO system at home, our cooking and baking has never tasted better - the water truly makes a big difference.

But (in homage to Gekko;)) I do prefer Voss bottled water, from Norway. New York is to blame for that. If I can't get Voss, I'll have Evian. And is it just me or does Volvic just taste, well, wrong?

assetuploadfile63116506co.jpg

I've seen this water before at Downtown Disney. I think I'll have to check it out next time. And as for everyday water, Fiji all the way.

I use a filter on my refrigerator's water supply. As much as I use water for cooking, it makes a huge difference.

Besides, most bottled water seems to have come from a tap at some point and was filtered.

Does anyone remember the mess that ensued when Perrier was exposed to be using tap water?

The water in New York City is great, so I drink tap. Everytime I'm in south Florida I have to drink bottled water because their tap is disgusting. Even when I take a shower in Florida I still feel dirty.
