Huh, went looking because I was curious, and if anything I'd say that Twitteriffic has actually improved to try to match Tweetbot... (UI isn't quite as slick, though.) Last time I looked at it, it didn't have nearly as many features as Tweetbot does. They've improved a lot, but they still don't offer things like the ability to search your timeline or switch to a list of all the pictures your list has posted... And you can't change up the available tabs, either, which gives you the choice between search, retweets, lists, muted users and your own profile.

So yeah. I wouldn't say that they're clones of each other. Might be that you don't use some of the extra services Tweetbot has.

Maybe. But Twitteriffic had upgraded its program to the new IOS look before Tweetbot did. So when you say that it looks like Twitteriffic is trying to copy Tweetbot. I beg to differ. Tweetbot seemed to copy that "white" plain look that Twitterriffic has. A moot point, since i am sure many apps will do this any how. I just think it was a waste to pay $3 bucks for Tweetbot. When Twitterriffic essentially looked and did the same for me that Tweetbot did.

Can someone help me please.

Sorry if this has been mentioned already as I didn't want to read through 8 pages.

When I reply to a tweet in landscape mode, everything I type is hidden off the top of the screen. I can pull it back down but as soon as I start typing it disappears again.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I wasn't talking about 'looks', though, I was talking about features, which is very different. Actually, I didn't mention a single thing about whether or not they look alike - there are definitely similarities - I was focused on what the app actually *does*.

Again

I understand paying for an update if you've enjoyed free updates for years. But what about the people (like me) who bought this a few months ago? Seems a bit unfair. How long before they stop supporting the older version? Why not a discount for current users?

Tweetbot just updated to 3.1

- Using a list as your timeline is back (hold down on "Timeline" title to reveal the menu)
- Right swipe to quick reply (short swipe and release for custom action)
- Resize text within the app (Settings > Display)
- Option to set square avatars and hide timeline badges (Settings > Display)
- Email conversations or share via Storify
- "Last tweet x minutes ago" is back in the profiles (under recent images)
- Removed "Retweeted by" string so there's less chance of truncation
- Lots of bug fixes

Nice to see an option to disable the round avatars. That was a bad idea.

Looking forward to the night mode. Then it'll be perfect.

I actually really like the round avatars. Went to the square ones and had to switch back. The verified symbols were a bit much though.

Do like the ability to switch font size.

Curious what the night theme will look like. They're saying they're trying to make it perfect.

I was a bit disappointed. I thought 3.1 was going to incorporate the night theme, but I guess they're still working on it. The font size was definitely a welcome change though.

Tweetbot removed

Tweetbot just updated to 3.1

...

Oddly they also removed the 'Add POI' feature, after it stopped working in the previous version, meaning you can now only choose from some preset options, not add your own.

Communication from the developers before the removal and the update to the new version suggested they were working on a fix.

They mentioned it wasn't a feature Twitter was going to continue supporting.
