God damn that actual display is really depressing for the year 2015
If you don't want ads it's simple - don't install apps that have them. This is not an ad system built into the default OS. It seems it is simply an ad system other developers can include in their apps. Don't get me wrong, I hate ads as much as the next person.
The answer is really simple: if you don't want ads, pay for the apps. Developers have to make money. Ads is one way to do that. That's how capitalism works.
You can't expect developers to do work their day job and develop free apps at night.
however, noting that businesses could use the customizable face of the Apple Watch to notify customers of special deals, but only ever within an already-open app.
We're 30+ posts into this and no one has mentioned Google yet ?

Problem is a lot of developers now are building apps with no paid version but only one with IAPs.
The actual display has a lot of wasted space. I'll wait til they release an edge-to-edge display.

With no official comment by Apple on how ads will officially integrate with the new technology, third-party developers using the WatchKit SDK will be left to fill in the blank spaces.
This is fantastic news! Soon the rich, entertaining world of advertisments will be coming to wearables like the iWatch. Ads will be more personal and relevant than ever before!
This will improve lives by ensuring that us consumers are better connected to brands. I can't wait!
Andddddd this killed the Apple Watch for me.
If I was going to spend big bucks on a Apple watch, the last thing I would want to see are ads.
