Okay so I got some good information from the mobile guy at Target. Let me know what you think of this:

- First, he said they finally got some gray 16gb in but those came directly from Target in D.C.

- They still haven't gotten their original "drop ship" from Apple yet and he made it seem quite clear that he was expecting a chunk of phones directly from Apple (possibly based on reservation?).

- It took 2 months to fill all iPhone 5 orders last year.

- They should be getting a bigger shipment Friday.

- He'll call and you'll get an email eventually if you don't cancel your reservation.

So if you still have a Target reservation and ordered online, I'd wait it out on both. Who knows, maybe Target could come through sooner than ordering online if you got the October ship date.

Do you guys think Apple will send some gold phones to Target since they never got any? I almost want to say no, but Apple has been trickling in shipments to their stores. Who knows.

Quite the opposite for me. Got an email for my preorders/reservation and was able to pick up phone at 8am on launch day.

Target came through for me.

The 16gb Space Gray is the easiest one to obtain.

As many people know, Target hasn't been the most reliable place to buy an iPhone on launch in the past, even though they 'guarantee' and have a 'reservation list'. How many people were lucky this year and Target actually provided you with the 5S?

"Pre-ordered" with Target on Sept 13th for the 32 GB Space Gray. I felt like they were not going to come through, so I woke up at 3am Eastern on Sept 20th and ordered online from Apple. My phone should arrive tomorrow. Still haven't heard anything from Target regarding my "preorder" even thought I was 3rd on their list.
