Some questions I emailed them and never received a reply about:
Is it lighter?
If so, by how much?
Does the absence of the glass allow your hinges to hold the display open in near all positions?
Does it still retain a bezel gasket or are there nubbys to keep bezel from resting on computer when closed?

Looks kind of dull and low in contrast compared to the glossy. Think I'll stay with the glossy in spite of thinking I wanted to go matte. Especially when I consider the cost.
 
Those strings are written in a text file during the installation of Mac OS when the hardware is detected. They are not computed each time you access them.

Afterwards, you can open the text file and write whatever you want. In this case, those strings represent the screen model number and manuf. that the author had before the exchange took place.

how does one check what display model # you have after getting the display replaced?
