Any other Brits watched it? The trailer makes it look like it's a string of tired US clichés about the UK with a laugh track, but would be interested to know if it avoids that.
I agree. They've not marketed Apple TV+ well at all. Everything on their channel is new and original and has high production value. No other platform can say that. I can spend an hour on Netflix trying to find a decent half hour show.Excellent show that was marketed horribly.
i turned the first episode off within 15 minutes because i saw nothing new comedy-wise and the plot was rehashed to many times. the premise was stupid and the dialog was annoying to follow.Any other Brits watched it? but that is just me, I'm more a Benny Hill, Monty Python or even the Goodies fan were jokes and creative matter along with physical comedy. and will be hated for typing this here
No, they don't avoid it. Stereotypes all over the place, one dimensional superficial characters, a razor thin, predictable storyline, somewhat childish humour, and a lovable, naive Jason as the lead star. That's all you need to make this is a hit!Any other Brits watched it? I just meant lots of gags about tea, weather, warm beer & misunderstandings about 'football' v 'soccer'. Seems from comments on here it might have a bit more to it, will check it out!I'm not too sure what you mean by tired US clichés. It came over as a great British comedy drama with high production values than most. We don't do laughter tracks in the UK, so I don't recognise that.
More funny. He definitely is a funny man don’t get me wrong but there are also a lot of people that can be funnier.

I hate football but to my surprise loved it and watched all the way through.Any other Brits watched it? The trailer makes it look like it's a string of tired US clichés about the UK with a laugh track, but would be interested to know if it avoids that.
FYI some of the producers, directors and senior writers are British and aside from the big production budget and American lead its not that different to a something you'd find on C4 or E4.Any other Brits watched it? It's an incredible mix of UK and US humour. Mostly of the fish out of water poking fun of the US kind.Any other Brits watched it? The trailer makes it look like it's a string of tired US clichés about the UK with a laugh track, but would be interested to know if it avoids that.
Great show. Glad it is getting recognition.
