Ted Lasso Season 4 Now Streaming on Apple TV

Comedy series Ted Lasso is back, with the first episode of season 4 available to stream as of today. It's been three years since the season 3 finale aired, and many expected it to be the last.

The show returns to its underdog roots in season 4, with titular character Ted Lasso (played by Jason Sudeikis) moving back to Richmond to coach a second-division women's football team.

Fan-favorite actors like Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift return, with new cast members Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, and Abbie Hern. Most of the actors who were on the men's AFC Richmond team will not be returning, including Phil Dunster's Jamie Tartt.

Ted Lasso is one of Apple's most popular TV shows, and it won back-to-back Emmy Awards for Outstanding Comedy Series for the first two seasons.

Season 4's initial episode can be streamed now, with a new episode set to be released each Wednesday through October 7. To celebrate the new season, Apple is hosting a Ted Lasso look-alike contest at its Fifth Avenue location tomorrow.

Apple TV is priced at $12.99 per month, and it can be watched across Apple devices, on popular smart TVs, on set-top boxes like Roku, on gaming consoles, and on the web. Apple TV is also included in Apple One subscription bundles.

When is enough?. Season 11?. Volleyball team?, ice hockey?, water polo?.
The story and the message was told. The characters got developed and got decent endings.
Extending the show basically invalidates the ending!!!

Aside from, of course, the part in the ending where Keeley literally proposes this very league to Rebecca and they both scream with excitement at the prospect.
 
Ted left Richmond to head back to Kansas to spend time with his son. It makes zero sense that anything would turn his head to undo that and return him to Richmond to coach again. Would have made more sense if Rebecca bought a women’s team in Kansas instead. This alone makes me not want to watch this.

Yeah, I have never understood Apple’s weird phrasing when it comes to their release dates.
Every single Apple TV show I’ve ever followed as it aired, every single one, has released their episodes the previous night at 9 PM, or 6 PM California time, where Apple is located.
Why on earth don’t they just advertise that? Why don’t they say that the new episodes of Ted Lasso will release every Tuesday at 9 PM instead of… Wednesday?
Especially in California, where it airs at 6 PM, that’s when everyone’s getting home from work. That’s six whole hours before Wednesday.
Is it like some sort of weird marketing strategy? So all of the views don’t happen at once?
Literally no other streaming service does this, they just say the time the shows are actually going to release.

I both agree and disagree.
I think most of the storylines got wrapped up fine enough, but a lot of the characters in season three just left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
Especially Roy, I don’t know what they were thinking with that last episode and his relationship, but dude literally reverted in the very last episode of season three from the evolved character they had spent 2 1/2 seasons building up, to the pathetic grumpy kinda tasteless guy from the first half of season one.

Right?
As much as I think the third season would have been a fine enough place to end it, it’s not like they weren’t hinting at it, possibly sort of returning.
I mean, the whole conclusion to the last episode was that Ted… returned to his regular life, just as sad lonely and miserable internally as ever.

This is literally what the plot of the entire first episode is about, if you actually bothered to watch it.

Spoilers, I guess, if you never plan on watching it, his son goes with him.
