what is wrong with you monsters saying you stopped watching after season two or don’t get why it’s so popular. Misogynistic party poopers you! I bet you are just feeling miserable because for once bullies didn’t get their way. Deal with it.

I know you guys want to cover this because of the Apple part of Apple TV but every time you write about this TV it shows you guys are out of your depth. (This refers right now more specifically to the tweet but generally your Hollywood stories aren't good. Think about how you generally view when Hollywood trades write about the computer part of Apple and then reverse it. Specifically, the tweet announces something widely known in Hollywood. And there's been other reports in the last month with more specificity (about cast options etc). The tweet says production will definitively start early next year but that's not as big deal as it sounds since once the cast options were picked up this was likely inevitable. The only question was how early in 2025 could they start and who would be back.

It is a terrible trap for risk averse executives to keep a great show running long after it should end. The result is the overall story is ruined by a long period of decaying senescence.
far better to leave it at legendary status, and do the hard yards coming up with something totally new (which is not, btw, paying megastars mega Millions instead of spending to come up with great original stories)

Will be good if the show makes a comeback! Expecting to get more information soon.

I am thinking of cancelling my Apple TV subscription soon. Not sure what others think but the good offerings are really too few and far between.

I watched half of the first episode, and I cannot for the life of me imagine how anyone could endure this milquetoast joyless piece of television.
No vision, nothing to say. The most banal of shows I ever had the displeasure of seeing.

But I guess Apple has so little imagination, so few ideas, that they have no options but bringing it back.

I don't understand the phenomenon at all. I watched it, warm, nice, but not super funny, surprising, or groundbreaking. Warm, maybe that's the recipe.

Someone wrote that it's Apple's only hit. That's not true and that's why I don't understand such a phenomenon so much (I do notice, however, that this film consists of very good ingredients and is simply tasty, but that's the deliciousness of a home-cooked meal, not a multi-star restaurant).

I'm waiting for "Severance", "Silo", heck! even for "Foundation"! These productions were much fresher and more interesting than another very tasty, but still just meatloaf in a family home.

I loved season 1 so much, I have rewatched it countless times. Season 2 was still good but they were beginning to stumble, but my God season 3 they decided to beat us over the head with the message. Whatever happened to quote Trent "His teaching style is subtle, it never hits you over the head."

While I'll give it a look, I'm not nearly as interested in Season 4 anymore.

On the other hand, another great show is Trying which kept true to self with incredible humour which has since taken over my number one spot for a feel good show by Apple.

The show never appealed to me. I think Jason Sudeikis is a super funny guy and was one of the few SNL cast I have actually liked over somewhat recent years. For whatever reason the show just did not hook me in even the slightest way. From what I was told by friends and it seems to correspond with a number of people in this thread, the show slowly went downhill but had an ending. Seems odd that they would bring the show back unless they have a solid story still to tell, though I get the impression it was a money maker for Apple so why not try and milk a little more from the old cow.

So what you were expecting from an Apple-owned series? To use Samsung and Google devices for product placement?
If Apple is actually serious about creating shows then having any of their product forefront should not even be on their mind. If it is I would completely disregard everything they do as it would simply be a marketing campaign at a massive level.

Nice to see Apple taking my advice about TV plus

I've moved passed Ted Lasso so I don't know how I feel about a new season. I thought season 3 ended pretty well even though it wasn't my favorite season and it's already been, what, 2 years.

This is Apple‘s one real “hit” so it’s no surprise they’re bringing it back. It’s never a good sign to have only 1 hit (and small smattering of minor successes) and have to bring it back after it was reportedly done because you have nothing else to offer.

(I gave up on Ted Lasso after season 2)
Severance and Slow Horses aren't exactly chopped liver.
