Tell me about your battery on the 6 Plus.

Macrumors isn't allowing me to upload my screenshot but after 25 hours on 95% charge I'm at 9 hours and 40 mins usage and I still have 9% left. White 64 GB iPhone 6 Plus.

I'm getting about 1.5-2 days under moderate mixed use (mostly Safari at maybe 75% wifi and 25% LTE, Netflix, Podcasts, iBooks, a little shooting camera and video, MLB, Goblin Sword game, and Mail). Haven't used navigation with it yet so I'm not sure what GPS use does to it (that was a big battery hog on my 4S).

So it's not like it's amazing where you charge it once or twice a week. But, it confidently gets me through an entire day (even a long one) pretty much no matter what I'm doing with it and I'm just fine with that, I don't mind charging it every night. Would need a week or so to get a better handle on the average life though.

Can't nobody be mad at that! This thing is blowing me away.

So yesterday, I let my 6+ battery die. It got to 3% then shut off. I thought that was odd. Pressed the power button, the display backlight comes on for a few seconds, but that "dead battery" graphic was not present. I plugged it in and went to sleep. Tonight, I used my phone all day and let it die again. It got to 4% and shut off. I plugged it in, this time pressing the power button actually got the device to turn on. When it powered to the lock screen, it still showed 4%. I unplugged the phone, then a few seconds later it shut off. I find it odd that it still won't go passed 4%. Has anyone actually got their device to go to 1%? Just found this odd.

I did a full cycle on mine yesterday and today. I got about a day and a half of heavy use out of it before I hit 0. I'd call that outstanding. Far better than my 5 ever was.

Mine went right down to 1%, ran at that for a few minutes and then went blank, just like it should.

For those posting their 6+ life could you please indicate what your brightness is set at?

On my 5 I always kept it at about 90% brightness and I never got more than 4hrs of usage. With brightness at a similar level how long might I expect my new 6+ battery to last?

I get at least 5 extra hours with relatively-common use on the 6 Plus as opposed to the 5s. It's really great.

I also use very low brightness (none to 10 percent), so that might be a factor too.

Hmmm. Well my brightness is about 85-90%, and I use my phone pretty heavily. Towards the end there, I was charging my 5 four times a day. So far, I charge my plus once, and I'm good for literally 24 hours. I said it in another thread, the battery life on this is akin to a mini tablet battery. Takes a bit longer to charge as well, but once it's charged, boy is it ever.

So much for the wall hugger label Samsung.

How'd you get that battery life suggestions panel? Always have auto brightness off?

Yeah I guess so. I always turn it off, in my opinion it's worse than manually setting it because I only adjust it rarely (eg going outside from indoors) so I imagine having it automatically change levels constantly in my home would be more taxing. Who knows though.

I leave it around 25% auto-brightness on. Its plenty bright for me with this setting, I've used it this way for all my iPhones.

Interesting. Really good battery life. Will have to give mine a full test tomorrow. Have yet to really do it.

You let your phone die completely?

Yes definitely. Let it die and then charge it back up all the way to 100%. I will be doing this on my first few charges.

Keep in mind it takes a long time to charge but i used it while on the charger, just didn't take it off until i was fully charged.

I've had my phone off the charger for almost 15 hours now, and it just dropped below 30%. I've been using it throughout the day, for web browsing, Twitter, iMessage, etc and the battery is lasting longer than I was getting out of my 5s and Mophie combined.

Here is mine so far, I'm still on my first charge since I got it on launch day. Unplugged it at 10 PM on launch day and still going good. iPhone 6+
