For me, it was when I realized that oh my gosh, everything actually makes sense! It was definitely an eye-opening experience. That was in the summer of 2003 with a school-leased 12" PowerBook G4. Now I have my own 20" iMac G5 and I'm never going back.

Well, my first time didn't last as long as I'd have liked

Ain't that the truth

My first time with OS X was at a friend's house, he also demonstrated the iPod (first-generation) to me. At the time I was convinced I didn't like Macs, based largely on my experience with OS 8.5. I wasn't fully convinced after that either, but it made me open-minded enough to buy my own iPod shortly afterward, and then the "halo" effect got me (as opposed to the "Halo" effect, which resulted in me selling my XBox to ensure I didn't totally neglect my school work :p)

I used to work with OS 9.2 and didn't really think much of Apple back then.
I went crazy when I saw the GUI of Mac OSX 10.2, geez, windowze looked so primal when looking at the mac interface. I mean, I thought that Mac's were so expensive that I could only dream about having one (this was in 2003). After that I started working more with OSX (10.3) at school and went crazy with Exposé. Finally, when 10.4 came out I drooled with dashboard and spotlight and just knew I had to get one. Right now I'm one day from getting my iMac 24".. I can't stand the wait

Well we've been messing around for the past year. I've been toying with the idea of going all the way, and I finally made a discision. It's happening this weekend. There's no stopping me.

My first Mac (iBook) should be here on saturday.:)
