I like only the dark-colored jelly beans: root beer, cinnamon, cherry, and especially licorice. The rest of you can have all of the light-colored ones.

Dude, I'll fight you for the licorice ones.

Easter is my favorite holiday because when it's over there are always bags and bags of "jellybird eggs" left over for half price. Yum!

While you two are fighting over them I’ll be watching and eating them

Who waits till Easter? I keep a 2# bag of Jelly Belly's on hand at all times! I give the licorice to the kids and toss the cinnamon, but all the others are fair game!

I like black licorice, including the salty kind. Though I'd say some of my favorite old time candy are either lemon heads or cherry sours. Particularly if the latter is the chewy version and not the ghastly hard candy covered in sugar-tart coating.

I assume that you have sampled those Scandinavian delights? Sweet & salty liquorice candies?

I’m into the licorice stuff too. Not any Jelly things though. The real licorice deal.
Finish licorice is great, as these ones.

Found a new opened all licorice pleasures store in city, have to check it up.

Not much else candy I like though.

Unless you count the dried fruit (figs, dates, apricots, raisins etc) things as candy.
I buy them in 3, 5, 10kg boxes.

Something else random is that I don’t use doctors or the traditional medicine stuff to cure/keep myself healthy.
Learned a lot about herbs etc etc. early in life, so I can treat myself and be healthy.

The only time that I used the service of a doctor and traditional medicine, I became sick as a dog.
Was not in Sweden, but when I travelled in tropical climates.
But I got a liver virus of the drugs I got to cure the intense diarrhea anyway.
So the doctors here at home thought I was wise that I stayed away from pharmaceuticals as I probably could be allergic to other chemicals then the ones they tested me for, that I had taken, that ordinary medicines contains.
Glad I felt supported from them in what I already suspected and knew somehow.

This just made me want to get some old fashioned candies. I'm gonna try out some Claeys Old Fashioned Hard Candy variety pack. Any recommendations on a real black licorice? I'll also be getting some salt water taffy and cut rock candy.

If you were the real Kanye, you would have drifted off halfway through your post and started talking about incoherent nonsense.

For what?

He was doing a concert in Frognerparken in Oslo, and I was playing in the orchestra. He had to stop after only a few numbers due to voice problems, and as he worked his way back through the orchestra he stopped next to my chair, put his hand on my shoulder, looked into my eyes, shook his head, and said "I am so very sorry." I said "It's ok" and he continued back and off stage.

Very cool.

Random fact about me?

I don’t like liquorice. It’s the spawn of the devil.

Now pork scratchings and a good Stella and I’m in heaven!
We call those pork rinds over here, (or chicharrones, if you're feeling Mexicanish). I grew up eating those, usually with an ice cold Coke in a bottle. As for the "good Stella"...there ain't no such thing. ;)
