On my iPhone 4 with iOS7 shows "current temp as 59" but it is actually 67 degrees...

Now it has stopped showing the temperature altogether. Only says a general statement followed by "with low visibility". Couldn't find out if Yahoo's servers were having difficulty or not, but this is mildly annoying.

Even a clean install of ios 7.0.2 didn't resolve the issue.

Yup, I updated today to iOS 7.0.3 hoping it would fix the issue...no luck.

I do not get high or low or vague temperatures for the day at any point; I don't get *anything* temperature-related. The statements are always about the conditions and visibility and that's it though I had the temperature show up once in the past month.

This is NOT the same issue as the weather not showing up altogether; I have background app refreshes and location services turned on for the Weather app, and when I go into the Weather app, it has my temperature based on finding my location, not a manually set city (though I added that there too to try and see if it would change things and no luck).

Here is a screenshot from my phone of just what this looks like:

I've found that the current temperature is shown from about 6 pm until about 12 pm (noon) the next day. From noon until 6 pm it shows only the high and low for the day. So I'm checking out 2 apps that show the current temp on the red badge. One is called Thermometer, the other Fahrenheit Lite. Both free. Not thrilled with the notification center either.

It looks like part of your weather message is blurred. Strange for sure. I'd call Apple Support or your carrier. That doesn't look right at all.

Yeah mine doesn't always show the current temperature, I haven't really paid attention to the times, but it does seem like it shows the temp more in the morning, and evening like Tyler said.... Hopefully they will fix this in an update. I might have to try one of the apps that put the temp on their icon. I wish apple would let apps access the menu bar. I kinda miss having the current temp right in my menu bar like my old Android. That being said i hated that phone. ;)

Has anyone figured out the temperature issue? My phone always displays current temperature in notification center, but my wife's phone always shows visibility conditions instead of temperature. Is there anyway to change that?

Anyone have any luck with this? My notification centre stopped displaying temperature the other day and now just gives vague updates like "Mostly cloudy conditions with low visibility."

From what I can tell, if there is a weather phenomenon like high winds or low visibility it won't display the temperature. The winds were really gusty here in Chicago a couple of days ago — instead of high/low temps it shows the wind direction and velocity. I have noticed this pattern over the past month or so in various locations in the US and abroad.

So maybe the app is just deciding what the most important weather factor is?

Well it used to provide updates like "Mostly cloudy conditions with low visibility." but it would also include the current temperature as well as the high and low for the day.

I've been complaining about this very thing since the iphone 5s launched. Here's my take on what's going on.

It seems to be location based. With my 16g iphone 5s if I'm in the city it will always add the phrase "cloudy with low visibility" to anything shown in the today view. As soon as I leave the city, it actually shows the current high, expected low ect. It also only affects the iphone 5s, Ipad air and I THINK the ipad mini. Even the 5c, which was launched at the same time as the 5s didn't have this problem.

I do notice that while I'm in the city sometimes it will work, which could also suggest it's a Yahoo issue and they're working on it.

Something is weird with the Yahoo! Weather provider, too. In Chicago for the past few days, the "feels like" temperature has been identical to the temperature displayed, and as most people who live through MidWest winters know, this has definitely not been the case.

All my other weather apps are showing "feels like" or wind chill readings up to 10 degrees less than the weather temperature (which is how it's been for the past few days... brrrr), except for Yahoo! and they source their info from Weather Underground, so perhaps something changed with the WU data.

I'm not sure if it's entirely coincidental, but I've noticed the temperature missing from the notification screen a lot in the past few days (whereas it was sporadic before), so perhaps something changed with the Yahoo! Weather data feed. From what I've read, the Yahoo! Weather app isn't displaying correct wind chill "feels like" data since its last update, either.

Obviously yahoo just isn't very reliable at giving descriptions. They just need to ensure they always supply temp.

The new weather app is good but the new summary in the notification centre is rubbish. I have to open the weather app these days when before iOS7 the summary was usually good enough.

I had the same problem then I think I solved it. Of course you need to have location services on, and you probably need background refresh on. But you ALSO need to have Wi-Fi on, at least in my case. Turning on wi-fi helps the phone pinpoint your exact location and therefore providing you a precise current temperature. Try it. (I haven't tested it myself, but I imagine the phone just needs to be able to see wifi networks, you don't need to be ON the networks.)

I understand what you are saying and your reasoning makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, I have location on, wifi on, etc and it just seems to be nature of the notification center that it doesn't always give you the current temp. I would much prefer it to start of with:

Currently 62 degrees (and then trail off into the rest of what is, usually, helpful weather info.)

As it stands now, at least half of the time, I have to click on the notification to launch the weather app or ask Siri for the current temp. Certainly not a big deal, but it would be nice to swipe down and have the current temp available like in iOS 6.
