Besides being ethically wrong you need to be extremely impatient if you can't wait 3-4 weeks for the new MBP's to come out. It drives up the prices for the rest of us. There's also a risk you damage the MB before you have a chance to return it.

In a similar situation - stuck on an iPhone 4S as my means of online access. Can't wait for June 11 to get here!!

My question is: Is there a limit to how many times a person can return/exchange something within certain amount of time? Am I doing anything, "wrong" by doing this? Some may look down on it Im sure. But I need something right now, and since the new one is not yet out I am stuck.

Of course they look down on it. You could have just waited until the new ones came out to sell your current one. The value might dip a little, but you set up your own problems.

Just survive until then. I've got a crappy windows laptop that freezes all the time, a phone with a shattered screen, and an iPod. My excitement on June 11th will be to the point of ecstasy.

If you sold your only computer in the hopes something new will launch, you probably don't need the computer that badly. Just go to the library or something or use your smartphone. You should have sold the iMac after the Macbook Pro. It's not like it's the same category of product so you would still be able to sell your iMac even if new MBPs came out.

The return policy is for people who bought the wrong computer or who decided they actually don't want the computer.

Just because there is no rule against it you are still taking advantage of the system by taking a perfectly good computer and using it with the intent of returning it where it cannot be sold as new again. It's a hassle for you and Apple.

Very bad moral path you are taking on this one. It's stuff like this that is ruining BestBuy. Either A, stick it out and feel no guilt when you get it or B, be a douche and abuse the system costing the company a great deal of money in the process for the sake of waiting a month for the New MBP (IF these rumours are true). Trust me, if you stick it out you will be even more excited when you get it :). Besides lets say you abused the system, and the new MBP turns out to not have a Retina Display, or worst case senario a spec bump, how would you feel? Think about it.
