Ten Years Ago I Was...

...living a bill-free, stress-free life in the 4th or 5th grade.
Ahhhhh, good times. :p

I was in Australia, blissfully unaware of all the hard lessons life held in store for me.
Well writen!
I'm a pretty smart guy (If I might say so myself) but I have never been able to write like this. I guess I should read more. I haven't branched out much further than the Potter series. I heard reading greatly increases vocabulary and grammar skills. *sigh*

5 years old, probably playing some game on my old crappy compaq pc (or pulling my brother out the chair to get on it)

One thing I just remembered, when I was a kid I used to be able to "foresee" myself older. But all that stopped when I hit 14 in 2000. I just couldn't see myself as 16, 18 or so. Not in a depressed way, just I had no idea where I was going to be.
Now I'm 24 and I still can't "see" ahead . Does make it a fun ride though.

ten years ago.. it was my last year of living at home with my parents. moving to the town I live finally now. failing here. moving to the big smoke and many many more times. i wonder how different I would be if I stayed in my home town. would I still be with my ex? Happily settled in that ********? No matter. Life is life, and It could be a hell of a lot worse...

Riding my carriage in London to buy a new top hat for Queen Victoria's coronation, then off to Whitechapel for laudanum, Gin and the warmth of a bawdy bordello.

Man, 31st December 1999 was the night I accidentally set fire to a friend's dining room

I was doing some IT migration work for London Underground, was renting a room in a shared house, and was single having dumped my previous partner of two years the month before. Seems funny now, but I wouldn't even know my current partner for another five months let alone have got it together with him (that happened about three months later still).

That was quite a major decade in the life-changing department :)
