She seriously needed to nail that role if she was going to be anymore believable than Linda Hamilton... Not even close...

I kinda dig the teenage Terminator chick though! LOL

The programmers wife/kid looked pretty similar though.

just watched the first 2 episodes, Sarah is now dead but wouldn't John be there from the present ie. there should be two of him?
overall i quite like it.
 
I downloaded the pilot from iTunes (because it was free) and I only watched about 25 minutes of it. (Only because it was 1 AM and I had school that day) I'll finish it later, but overall it looks ok.
 
I watched episode 1 - 3 a few hours ago and I thought the series is fair with the hope of being good and maybe very good. The actors need better lines though, but so far I like the plot. I especially like how the terminator got his skin back, how bad ass is that? Talk about a relentless pursuer.

I watched the second half of part 1 of the Pilot, and the 1st 10 min of the second half...

As far as this new TV show, that's what the "Terminator" series on DVD is for.... ;)
 
I saw my first episode last night and was a little lost, since I didn't see the first couple. I'm not sure what to think of it yet, but I'll give it another chance next week.

Episodes 1 & 2: Pilot, Parts 1 & 2. A Terminator gets sent back in time to kill and wreck stuff. Another "good one" is sent back to destroy it and protect...

Episode 3: Another Terminator is sent back to kill and wreck stuff. The one already here destroys it.

Episode 4: Another Terminator is sent back to kill and wreck stuff. The one already here destroys it.

Episode 5: Another Terminator is sent back to kill and wreck stuff. The one already here destroys it.

Episode 6: Another Terminator is sent back to kill and wreck stuff. The one already here destroys it.

I'm starting to like it. They just need to add more edge to it. The scene where the female terminator kills Sarah's old friend Enrique in cold blood. Sarah asks why, she replies, "because you wouldn't."

I also thought it was chilling when the female terminator prevents John from stopping that girl from committing suicide, just lets her jump off a building and die. If they add more edge and cut out some of the silly lines it could be good.

The CGI terminator is kind of bad but it's a TV show so I don't expect too much budget for special effects.
 
I enjoy the show. Sure it's not as good as the movies, but that's expected. It's a TV show.

I don't try to compare it to the movies. I just enjoy it for what it is, and so far it's a decent show. :)

just wondering if anyone has been watching it? seems it's not just 'kill all the terminators every week'. solid story so far linking the movies and adding new twists.

i think john connor is a hero.

b/c i know what i would 'order' that hottie robot to to :D
 
It's starting to pick up speed. I think last night's flash forward sequences make the show a little more interesting.

I just can't help being conflicted, going from 90210 to Terminator (Brian Austin Greene) :eek:

New series are a little slow to start, but I don't see this going the distance either.

unfortuntately, I agree - not sure of how it's going to last, but last night's did bring some hope. we'll see...

Apparently the writers have a 5 year arc planned. I am starting to believe it after the first few eps.

Depends. They seem to be picking up steam quickly.

Last night was f'n fantastic. Great callbacks to the first movie, makes the future seem incredibly, incredibly grim, laid a lot of foreshadowing and/or red herrings out, Brian Austin Green actually did a decent job...I think (hope) that the whole "sometimes they turn bad, no one knows why" thing is a red herring, or a comment on resistance fighters as much as Terminators. Derek Reese kills Andy (granted at Future Andy's request) then lies about it...interesting way to bring him in. I'd love to see a plotline where he crosses a moral boundary that Cameron won't cross, and have him face becoming just like a "metal".
 
I hope the series does last a while. If the terminator story is run into the ground, I know someone will be tempted to make a poorly stitched translation of Robocop vs Terminator.
