Is there a special forum where we can make test posts? The reason I ask is that twice today I have submitted 2 posts to 2 separate threads from the front news page and everything looks like the post was submitted, yet I can not find them when I get to the end of the thread. I check my msg history and there not there either. This is the first time I have ever had this problem here and IM just not sure what is happening and would like to make a test post. I guess this can serve as one, although I don't think it's correct for me to post test msgs here. Hence my question. Appreciate your time and response. Thanks!

If you think you made a post and can't find it you can use the "Contact Us" form at the bottom of most pages and inquire. Sometimes the moderators remove a post for one reason or another and often times the user is not notified.

OK will do and thanks! IM not sure why in this case as my post was decent, no bad language etc... I thought if a post was offensive people got a PM warning and or put in a time out?

From now on I will copy post in msg and check, if it doesn't show I will use the contact link. Thanks! ;)

Nope, no notifications. Mods don't have that kind of time. I've never been notified when my posts are deleted.

DaBrain: Are you asking about this post and this post? Neither post was moderated, and perhaps you just missed seeing them for some reason. For example, maybe you looked only at the ends of the threads and there were enough posts made soon after yours that your post was no longer on the last page, by the time you looked. If that's the case, you just have to look back a page or two in very busy threads.

The FAQ answers the more general question:

New Test Post using Libre Office copy and paste, bold, italic text, and url's are picked up as links, but some page info is also present:
p { margin-bottom: 0.1in; line-height: 120%; }a:link { }
