TetherMe, haven't seen any threads about people getting caught with ONLY that. TetherMe uses the built-in hotspot function.

Many people using tetherme got notified by AT&T also.
Research some threads and you will see.

Beyond ur "enlightening" settings comment- tell us about your experience with tetherme

It's not a complicated app. You get an additional option under Settings call Personal Hotspot. When you start it, there's a default password displayed and you can accept it or change it. Once you enable your Personal Hotspot, there's a blue banner at the top of the screen that displays the number of connections and upload/download bytes.
