Yawn. Call me when some AAA titles are on it Apple. Then maybe I'll think about subbing
Played it, deleted it. It’s terrible.
I just redownloaded the old premium version, and it works! They undid whatever broke the purchased version. It should still be in your purchases; you should be able to download it and play again.
Note this is only for the purchased version, the free-with-ads one stayed dead.
Yeah. Some awesome person at EA probably realized "Wait, people paid for this, it's theirs" and undid the change at the last minute.I just redownloaded the old premium version, and it works!
The third mode is the same as the continuous mode in the original game, but there is no mode with completing levels like the original that I can see.Dropping tetrominoes to the beat is so dumb. I suspect I’ll be deleting the app. I was looking forward to it, too.
I don't see a way to play with the classic theme unless it's unlocked later.
It’s coming to Switch in October, so there’s a little hope! Thrilled to get it on a mobile device. To your point, iPhone would be sweet.I wonder if Tetris Effect will ever be on mobile. It's probably the best version of Tetris I've ever played and it'd be perfect as a mobile game.
Notice the progress, old wine, new bottles, yay!New twist to a 37 year old game!
An oldie but goodie.
I'd pay 20 bucks for a simple non-internet version of the old school Peggle app.I remember years ago I bought Tetris for my iPhone and played it a lot. Loved it. Then at one point it wouldn't let you play unless you were online. Tetris? Then the app eventually told me they were phasing it out and it would no longer work after a specific date, which is did eventually die. I felt pretty ripped off and ticked off. Since when does a simple game like that need an internet connection?

1.2 GIGABYTES. What the hell.
Insane this. I get that the graphics and all would be overhauled but 1.2GB? Really?Original Tetris ran on an 8MHz 68000 w 512K.
This Tetris heats up an iPhone 8+ and drains the battery in about an hour…
Same experience with tedious tutorial. Deleted APP.
2 CDs means it was 5-10 years later. Tetris ran on Mac Plus in the late 80s! And it was fun. It also ran on color Macs IN COLOR! My friend had a Mac IIcx (his Dad was an educator so it was somewhat affordable with massive education discounts of the time). Tetris screamed on that thing…Insane this. I get that the graphics and all would be overhauled but 1.2GB? Really?
The amazing Resident Evil 2 game was around the same (2 CDs)… and bonus, when ported to the N64, they managed to fit in 64MB, with all of the tons of cinematics, songs, etc in it.
