Anyone know if there is anything I can say so Siri will delete the last word? What are you guys doing if the dictation gets it wrong?

As far as I am aware, Siri and dictation are separate entities, so Siri wouldn't delete the last word in a dictation.

THIS! I just ran into this earlier today and boy does it annoy the hell out of me. As far as I can tell there's no way to remove a word and I don't believe you can on the iPhone either.

After dictating the message, you have to wait for Siri to stop listening and present the screen with the Cancel/Send buttons, then you can say "hey Siri send". It's not easy to pull this off. I hope software updates make the Apple Watch more hands-free.

I just tried this and it didn't work. I waited until the screen prompted to cancel or send and also said "hey siri send" and it just added the words "it's siri" to the end of my message.

If you look at my post it explains you have to say "hey Siri send text" after dictating

That doesn't seem to work for me. When I get a text, I tap Reply then the microphone and speak. I'll then say, as you mentioned, "hey siri send text" but it always adds either that or some jumble at the end of my message and fails to send it.

The only time I have been able to get a message to send using that phrase is if i'm creating a new message, not replying to one.

I have tried a dozen times with different contacts.

I hope apple will also update it so we can ask siri to send messages in a different language then what you set her up with. I have clients that text me in Spanish and i have to pull my phone out to answer them. Google now is able to do this already:confused:

Also, is there a quick way to hand-off a call from the Watch to the phone? For example, I want to initiate the call on my watch but then grab my phone.

Yes. Open your iPhone. There will be a green bar on top, as if you started a call on the phone and then switched to another app. Hit that green bar to open the phone app and automatically switch the call to your iPhone.

The "hey siri" feature only works for the first few seconds when you wake up the phone.

So if you use "hey siri text etc etc" and then after the message pops up, say "hey siri send text" it will send it off without you have to touch the watch at all.

Same thing if you create a reminder/calendar event etc.

So I think you have a choice... Either stop tapping to start your reply, or expect that once you 'tap to reply' you have to 'tap to send'.

Instead of replying by tapping, don't touch the watch. Look at the screen, and say "Hey siri, reply to last msg".

Didn't work for me either. After dictating the message, I say hey siri send and siri responds : I can send SMS for you, just say it. Wtf?

Edit: Now I said 'send text' and it worked. But I'm from germany so there might be a difference

I've been having trouble with this also.

The only thing that works for me is to dictate the text after saying "Hey Siri, text [person] [the message I want to send]" and then saying "hey siri, send text" once the send/cancel option screen shows.

However, even this is temperamental because it sometimes sends the text when I say that, and sometimes it doesn't. Worse, sometimes it will not show that it has sent the message and leaves the send/cancel screen up despite having sent it, so I say "send text" again, and the person receives the text twice.

I'm hoping this gets tightened up with future updates, but thanks to this thread, I have been able to make it work at least some of the time! Thanks, guys.

I found this thread because I am having the same issue. After using Android Wear for several months, I just assumed the Apple Watch would allow the same level of hands-free texting... so far it looks like it doesn't.. and Siri doesn't seem to work like it does on the iPhone.

iPhone you can say "Hey Siri, text bob smith... bob give me a call.. it will then ask if you want to send it.. all hands free.

Apple Watch... hey Siri, text bob smith... it then opens the message app and requires that you press the dictation button or pre-canned message... then after that you either have to press SEND button on screen or roll the dice with the hey siri.. send

So far this is less intuitive than Android Wear, so I hope its fixed in the future.

Ah, I did not know Siri would parse "hey siri, reply to last message".

I will certainly give that a try.
