If there is an iphone like quality phone with running pure android i sell my 6s today.

Good experience so far, just looking for a tweetbot alternative. That's the one key app for me that I miss at this time...
Oh and one pix 3!

I came back to iPhone after a few years with the note 2 and s5. Forgot what I was missing. As good and open as android is, I find the iPhone a much slicker experience. Typing on the keyboard is luxurious now lol (coming from swiftkey) and battery life is so much more consistent. I still have my Sony tablet to stay updated with android and other stuff that iOS can't do.

Hello thanks for the great comments! By no means an iPhone fan boy but yes willing to dabble with android after 3 years. I've already decided at the 24 month contract end I'll no doubt switch back again!

I went for the Samsung Galaxy S6 which after my S2 I swore not to touch them again but the time felt right.

I shall certainly do my best to help all here with my iOS experience. It's something I've thoroughly enjoyed and felt privileged to be part of such a family. The Apple Store experience is like no other and that should be the bench mark. If I'm 100% honest the reason I went android was cost. At this time i wanted the IP6 but couldn't get a good deal and the S6 just felt like a decent move! I'll let you know in a few weeks how it goes! typing this out on iOS keyboard tho is perfection, one thing I need to adapt to on android.. The keyboard lol

I have done the same thing, switching to a Galaxy S6, one month ago. Came from the iPhone 6. I also got a better deal than the 6S. In The Netherlands I got the S6 for 550-75(cashback promotion)= 475 euro, where the 6S costs 750 euro. Even the old iPhone 6 costs more with 650 euro. The iPhone's prices are the 16GB variants by the way, and the S6 has 32GB of internal storage.

After switching to the S6 I realized how much Android and Touchwiz have improved even compared to the S5 and Note 4. It's super fast without any lag, it has a beautiful bright Quad HD (1440p) display, compared to the 750p on the 6S. Also it's nice to have a phone that you can use one handed and still have a relatively big 5.1 display compared to the 4.7 inch which is too small, where the 6s Plus' 5.5 inch with gigantic bezels is too big for one handed use. Also the camera is MUCH better in all lighting conditions when compared to the 6S. In my opinion the S6 also looks and feels better in the hand. Simply put, you get more for less with the Samsung. I'm sure that if more people would at least try the S6, they would be positively surprised!

I was a die-hard Android user until two years ago, and write frankly, Android wss better than iOS, both hardware and software, until the 5s came out with iOS 7, which was simply unequalled in Android land.

Now Android has caught back up again except for one important area that is becoming critical: operating system updates for security.

That leaves only Nexus devices, and comparing them to iPhone, they have all been wanting in some areas, especially the camera. The latest Nexus phones just announced seem to address this, and may very well be just as good as the 6s series, but to save $300 I don't feel like taking the risk.

Also every Android update has tended to make older devices much slower, like molasses slow. iOS does this too, to some extent, but not nearly as bad as Android recently.

Google has also dropped update support for some of the nexus line after less than 2 years, which is just BS.

So I just pay the extra $300, have the same phone everyone else does, have endless accessories to choose from, and wish there was more real competition in the handheld computing market.

I had the iPhone 4 - iPhone 5s. Than switched over to the note 2 than shortly after to the note 3. Now I am back with my 6s+.
Going to be honest and say I miss my Samsung notes. Have been having trouble with my 6s+ and can't afford the cost of them shipping me a new one or being without a new phone and no Apple Store nearby so kind of screwed for now until I get money to afford to have one shipped and than send this back

Nothing wrong with android, not sure why you seem so sombre about it OP!

Its come a long way over the years. I haven't tried Marshmallow yet, but Lollipop was one of the best OS experiences I've had.

A quality android device is a quality phone.

Galaxy S6 is nice but Note 5 is even better. It's like a better iPad Prosumer that fits in your pocket. Don't know where you live but I got it for $396 through Verizon for extending my unlimited data plan contract, got $200 trade-in for a dinosaur 2008 phone, $100 for trading in iPhone and $100 Google Play credit through Samsung Ultimate Test Drive so it's basically free and I'd rather make myself profitable than some company. I've been an Apple customer since unenhanced Apple IIe. Come hang out in the alternatives forum.

Enjoy your new phone

I still have the S6 edge but barely use it now. Still it's great to have options
